What is autohemotherapy in Traditional Chinese Medicine?

Traditional Chinese medicine has been developed in our country for thousands of years. Many people do not trust traditional Chinese medicine and believe that Western medicine is the fundamental way to treat diseases. In fact, this is not the case. Since Chinese medicine has such a long history, it must have its unique side. In addition to using Chinese herbal medicine for treatment, Chinese medicine treatments also include some physical therapy methods, such as cupping, massage, acupuncture and so on. So, what is TCM autohemotherapy?

Autohemotherapy is actually drawing one's own venous blood and injecting it subcutaneously. It is a nonspecific stimulation therapy that can produce a nonspecific desensitization effect, promote leukocyte phagocytosis, and thus enhance the body's immunity. It is used to treat vitiligo, chronic urticaria, systemic pruritus, generalized eczema and dermatitis, allergic purpura, certain bullous diseases, psoriasis, recurrent furunculosis and folliculitis, juvenile acne, etc.

(1) Whole blood therapy: It refers to drawing 5 to 10 ml of blood from the patient's vein (without adding anticoagulants or drugs) and then directly injecting it into the deep muscles of the patient's buttocks. 1 to 2 times a week, generally 10 times constitute a course of treatment.

(2) Hemolytic therapy: Use a syringe with a specification of 10 ml or more to draw 5 ml of saline solution for injection, then draw 5 ml of venous blood as above, gently shake thoroughly to mix the injection water and venous blood. After 2 to 3 minutes, the blood cells will be lysed, and the mixed solution will become transparent before intramuscular injection. 2 to 3 times a week, 10 times as a course of treatment.

The above-mentioned autohemotherapy can be used as an auxiliary method for treating skin diseases. If it is effective, you can continue to inject for several courses according to the condition to consolidate the therapeutic effect.
