A small fleshy bump on the body

A small fleshy bump on the body

If small lumps appear on your body, you should first confirm whether they are caused by endocrine disorders due to inflammation. If not, you should pay attention to it. If the lumps look like tumors, you should go to the hospital for examination in time. Benign tumors are relatively easy to treat, but if they develop into malignant tumors, it will be difficult to cure them completely.

Rice-sized skin tags

Skin tags, also known as soft hanging warts, are flesh-colored, pedunculated growths of fibrous tissue that tend to occur in skin folds and are more common on the necks of middle-aged and elderly people, especially in women. They are benign tumors.

Skin tags generally do not turn into skin cancer. They are more of a symbol of age. They are more common in obese middle-aged and elderly people over 45 years old. They can also appear after pregnancy. If the pregnant woman recovers well after delivery, they may disappear on their own.

Small enoki mushroom-like filamentous warts

Filiform warts are small, thread-like growths that occur on the superficial surface of the skin, commonly known as thread warts. It mostly occurs in women over 30 years old.

Filiform warts are caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). They are brown, light brown or the same color as skin, long and soft, like a small enoki mushroom, and usually grow on places where the skin is thinner, such as the eyelids and neck.

It should be noted that filiform warts are contagious and can connect into pieces, which may cause allergies, cancer, HIV, hepatitis and other immune system diseases by destroying immunity.

When filiform warts appear, you can go to the hospital for liquid nitrogen freezing or laser burning.

Smooth, round bumps - Molluscum contagiosum

Molluscum contagiosum is a self-inoculated viral skin disease caused by the molluscum contagiosum virus. It is common in children and young people. It is commonly known as "water warts". It is a smooth fleshy lump, a hemispherical papule ranging in size from rice grains to mung beans, with a slight depression in the center. Cheese-like substances may be squeezed out, and it often causes itching. It can occur in any part of the body, most often on the trunk, followed by the neck, face, limbs, and scrotum, and occasionally on mucous membranes such as the lips.

Molluscum contagiosum can be contagious to other people and can spread from one part of the body to another. Patients are often infected in public bathrooms or swimming pools. In addition, molluscum contagiosum can also be transmitted through sexual contact.

Molluscum contagiosum usually disappears naturally after 6-9 months, but because it can spread throughout the body, it is best to go to the hospital for removal.

Growing in subcutaneous tissue - lipoma

Lipoma is a common superficial benign tumor that is more common in middle-aged people. It can occur anywhere in the body and generally does not become malignant. It is more common under the skin of the back, shoulders and buttocks.

Lipomas vary in size, and the skin on the upper surface of the tumor is normal. Lipomas rarely become cancerous and usually do not cause pain symptoms, so generally no treatment is required. However, if the tumor is large and affects normal life, or if it suddenly grows or ruptures in the near future, timely treatment is necessary.

It can be seen from this that the small bumps that suddenly grow on the body cannot be generalized and need to be treated symptomatically according to their different symptoms. If they affect normal life or are found to have a tendency to spread, you should see a doctor as soon as possible to remove them.
