Diarrhea and frequent farts

Diarrhea and frequent farts

Farting is a normal physiological phenomenon of the human body, but the number of times each person farts is closely related to the gastrointestinal motility. Sometimes, if you fart, it may be caused by problems in your gastrointestinal system. Most of the time, if a person farts too smelly or too frequently, it is most likely caused by diarrhea. Why does a person fart more when he has diarrhea?

Rumbling stomach, farting, diarrhea

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that it is the damp heat in the gastrointestinal tract that causes the clear air to be unable to rise and the turbid air to be unable to descend, resulting in symptoms such as stomach rumbling, diarrhea, excessive gas, and farting.

This condition may also be caused by bacterial gastroenteritis, which is mostly caused by eating spoiled food. Bacterial gastroenteritis is often manifested by abdominal pain and bloating, nausea and vomiting, increased intestinal motility, tenesmus, diarrhea, loose stools, blood in the stool, etc. It is recommended to go to the gastroenterology department for examination in time. You can do a routine stool test to see if there is bacterial or viral infection. If bacterial enteritis is indeed present, timely bactericidal and anti-inflammatory treatment is required.

What to do if your stomach growls

The rumbling stomach should be the sound of bowel sounds. Normal bowel sounds are generally three to five times per minute, and the sound is not too loud and requires a stethoscope to be heard. If you can hear bowel sounds directly, it indicates hyperactive bowel sounds. This condition occurs when the bowel movements are too rapid after taking irritating foods or taking oral laxatives. Patients with hyperthyroidism have rapid intestinal motility and loud bowel sounds. If you have rumbling stomach sounds but no abdominal pain or diarrhea, you can simply adjust your diet and avoid eating raw or cold foods. No special treatment is needed.

Now everyone should know what is going on with rumbling stomach, frequent farts, and diarrhea! Generally speaking, it is caused by the food you eat, so when you have rumbling stomach, frequent farts, and diarrhea, you should pay attention to your diet and eat less raw and cold food. Only by taking good care of your stomach can you enjoy more delicious food.
