If placed at a low temperature of 0℃ for a long time, it can form shiny orthorhombic crystals with a melting point of 17.8℃. It can cause combustion and explosion when encountering strong oxidizers such as chromium trioxide, potassium chlorate and potassium permanganate. It is miscible with water and ethanol. One part of this product can be dissolved in 11 parts of ethyl acetate and about 500 parts of ether. It is insoluble in benzene, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, carbon disulfide, petroleum ether and oils. Relative density: 1.26362. Melting point 17.8℃. Boiling point 290.0℃ (decomposition). Refractive index: 1.4746. Flash point (open cup) 176℃. Median lethal dose (rat, oral)>20ml/kg
