Physiological proteinuria

Physiological proteinuria

This physiological proteinuria phenomenon is very common, and the meanings of physiological proteinuria and pathological proteinuria are different. Physiological discomfort is caused by lifestyle habits, while pathological discomfort is a symptom caused by disease. However, physiological proteinuria is an abnormal condition and should be checked in time to protect your health.

Don’t take physiological proteinuria lightly, because if it is not handled properly, it will pose a certain threat to your health. Everyone should learn more about this aspect, which is also a way to protect themselves.

Urine protein is protein detected when urine becomes turbid after acidification and heating. The normal 24-hour urine protein range is ≤0.15g, and routine urine protein tests are negative. If the urine protein test is > 150 mg/day, that is, the urine protein is positive, it means that the amount of urine protein excreted by the human body has increased significantly, which is abnormal urine protein. Persistent positive urine protein often indicates kidney disease. Therefore, clinically, the degree of kidney damage and the effectiveness of kidney disease treatment can be determined based on the amount of positive urine protein. Therefore, if abnormal urine protein occurs, it must be effectively controlled and eliminated to prevent the disease from worsening and progressing.

Physiological proteinuria refers to urine protein produced by increased physiological reactivity of the body due to various factors in the internal and external environment of the body. The qualitative test of urine protein generally does not exceed +, and the quantitative test is <0.5g/24h. Physiological proteinuria is common after eating a high-protein diet. Temporary proteinuria may occur in cases of mental excitement, strenuous exercise, prolonged cold, pregnancy, etc. include:

① Functional proteinuria refers to temporary functional changes such as renal vasospasm or congestion caused by physiological states such as strenuous exercise, fever, low temperature stimulation, mental tension, sympathetic nerve excitement, etc., which increase the permeability of the glomerular capillary wall and lead to temporary, mild proteinuria.

② Postural proteinuria is also called orthostatic proteinuria. It refers to proteinuria caused by the protruding spine compressing the renal vein due to the upright posture, or the kidneys moving downward due to standing upright for too long, causing the renal vein to twist and then congestion of the renal vein, resulting in obstruction of lymph and blood circulation. The characteristics are: when lying down, the urine protein is negative; after getting up and moving or standing for too long, the urine protein is positive; after lying down and resting, the urine protein is negative again. It is more common in adolescents.

③Occasional proteinuria refers to proteinuria caused by accidental mixing of a large amount of blood, pus, mucus or reproductive system secretions into the urine, resulting in a positive urine protein qualitative test.

④ Intake proteinuria may be ingested through food or infusion, and urine protein may be detected accidentally.

The above is a detailed introduction to some knowledge about physiological proteinuria. I hope that after reading it, you will have a deeper understanding of this physiological proteinuria. If we feel any discomfort in our life, we should go to a regular hospital for examination and treatment in time. Physiological proteinuria cannot be ignored.
