What makes up a man's sperm?

Sperm in the male body and eggs in the female body both play important roles, and both substances are also a result of hormone secretion in the body. And in the eyes of most men, sperm is very important to their bodies, because there are many folk sayings that one drop of sperm is equivalent to 10 drops of blood in the male body. Today's article will explain the relevant material composition of sperm to male friends.

What are the components of semen?

Semen is composed of sperm and seminal plasma, with sperm accounting for 5% and the rest being seminal plasma. It contains water, fructose, protein, fat, as well as some various enzymes and inorganic salts. Sperm is produced by the testicles, and seminal plasma is secreted by the prostate, seminal vesicles, and bulbourethral glands.

Semen contains semen plasmin, which is an antibacterial substance comparable to penicillin. It is a protein with unique functions. Once it enters the cell, it can organize the synthesis of ribonucleic acid and achieve the power to kill bacteria.

Semen is a type of body fluid. Many sexually transmitted diseases are transmitted through semen. AIDS patients can also be infected with HIV through semen. This is a very dangerous form of sexual intercourse. As long as there is contact with semen, there is a high chance of being infected with the disease, so everyone should be careful.

How is semen produced?

According to the above introduction, we know that semen is composed of sperm and seminal plasma, of which sperm only accounts for a small part, and the rest is seminal plasma.

Sperm is produced by the testicles, and seminal plasma is secreted by the prostate, seminal vesicles, and bulbourethral glands. Seminal plasma contains fructose and protein, which are nutrients for sperm. At the same time, seminal plasma also contains prostaglandins and some enzyme substances. Normal seminal plasma is milky white or light yellow, and the number of sperm per milliliter of semen is generally between 60 million and 200 million. Motile sperm should account for more than 60% of the total, and abnormal sperm should account for less than 10% of the total.

What does semen do?

The main function of male semen is to make women pregnant, but it also has other functions.

1. After semen enters the female reproductive organ, the prostaglandins in the semen will promote regular contraction of the smooth muscles of the female reproductive tract, allowing women to reach orgasm and make their sex life more harmonious.

2. Semen can relieve women's premenstrual syndrome and dysmenorrhea. After semen enters the female reproductive tract regularly, it can relieve some serious premenstrual syndrome and dysmenorrhea, and some can even disappear completely.

3. The semen cytokines in semen can kill some bacteria such as staphylococcus and streptococcus. During normal sexual life, after the male semen enters the female vagina, cervix, uterus and fallopian tube, it will play a role in cleaning, disinfecting and sterilizing.

4. There is an "anti-immune" substance in semen that prevents it from being destroyed by the female immune system. If too much semen enters the female reproductive tract and semen is often retained in the body, the woman's own immunity will be reduced, making her prone to tumors. This is more obvious in women who have many male friends.
