With the continuous improvement of modernization, people's living standards are also constantly improving, and people's pace of life is also constantly accelerating. It is precisely because of this situation that people do more things and know more things. The treatment of tennis elbow is one of them. At the same time, people should also pay attention to some bad things happening in daily life.

As for the treatment of tennis elbow, there are actually many different methods in society, so you don’t need to worry too much. Below is some information about this treatment of tennis elbow.

Body Acupuncture

(I) Acupuncture points

Main acupoint: Ashi point.

Matching acupoints: Shousanli, Chize. The locations of Ashi points: one is the depression at the anterior edge of the lateral epicondyle of the humerus; the other is the depression at the posterior edge of the condyle of the lateral epicondyle of the humerus.

(II) Governing Law

Both Ashi points are selected each time. The former is pierced straight with a 1-inch filiform needle at a 90-degree angle; the latter is pierced from the middle of the condyle of the lateral epicondyle of the humerus to the back of the wrist, at a 45-degree angle to the depression at the posterior edge of the condyle. If forearm pronation is limited, add Shousanli; if supination is limited, add Chize. Conventional needle technique. After acupuncture has obtained qi, use the drainage method to move the needle for 1 minute and retain the needle for 20 to 30 minutes. The needle should be moved once every 5 minutes. An electroacupuncture device can also be used with dense waves and a frequency of 30 Hz. The intensity should be determined by the patient's tolerance. Take once every other day, 10 times as a course of treatment.

3. Efficacy evaluation

A total of 100 cases were treated, 62 were cured, 21 were significantly effective, 9 were effective, and 8 were ineffective, with an overall effective rate of 92.0%.

Acupuncture

(I) Acupuncture points

Main acupoints: Ashi point and Xiaohai point.

Associated acupoints: Quchi and Shousanli.

Location of Ashi point: It is the tender point on the lateral epicondyle of the humerus (same below).

(II) Governing Law

Generally, only the main acupoints are used, and auxiliary acupoints are added when the effect is not good. After the main acupoints are disinfected, insert the intradermal needle into the skin respectively. After the needle is inserted, push it parallel to the skin surface until the needle body is completely inside the skin, and then fix it with tape. Ask the patient to move the affected limb without any discomfort. After inserting ordinary filiform needles into Quchi and Shousanli acupoints, put a one-inch-long moxa stick on the needle handle, light it, and apply warm acupuncture for 20 minutes. The intradermal needle should be replaced every 3 to 5 days, and 3 times constitute a course of treatment.

3. Efficacy evaluation

A total of 78 cases were treated, 46 were cured, 23 showed marked improvement, 6 were effective, and 3 were ineffective, with an overall effective rate of 96.2%.

Sulfur moxibustion

(I) Acupuncture points:

Main acupoint: Ashi point.

(II) Governing Law

The patient sits upright, places the affected elbow on the table, presses repeatedly on the lateral epicondyle of the humerus, finds the most painful point, and marks it with gentian violet. Then, select sulfur crystal particles (made of high-pressure sterilized crystals processed into the size of broken rice grains) according to the size of the affected area, place them on the Ashi points, light them with a match, and quickly extinguish them with an eraser. The principle is that there should be no blistering or stinging at the treated area. Generally, only one treatment is needed. If the condition does not heal, you can repeat the treatment with the original method three days later. Do not go into the water on the day of treatment to prevent infection.

3. Efficacy evaluation

A total of 234 cases were treated with the above method, 89 of them were cured, 127 showed significant effects, and 18 were ineffective, with an overall effective rate of 92.3%.

Moxibustion

(I) Acupuncture points

Main acupoint: Ashi point.

Matching acupoint: Taixi.

(II) Governing Law

Separate medicated moxibustion and cake-separated moxibustion. You can choose either method.

1. Moxibustion with medicine: preparation of moxibustion medicine. 1 gram of musk, 10 grams of camphor, 3 grams each of Sanguisorba officinalis, catechu, Chuanwu and Caowu, grind them into fine powder and store in a bottle for later use.

Use flour and water to roll it into string-like noodles, then wrap them around the Ashi point to form a circle with a diameter of 1.5 cm. Spread the above-mentioned medicine powder inside the circle about 3 to 4 fen thick. Then cut the pure moxa roll into 1.5 cm long moxa segments (moxa cones), place them on the medicine and light them. Burn to a degree that you can tolerate. If it is too hot, remove it with tweezers and replace it with another stick. Repeat 3 moxibustions. For Taixi acupoint, use a pure moxa cone the size of a rice grain for direct scar-free moxibustion, also for 3 times. The above method is applied once a day, 7 times as a course of treatment, with 3 days between courses.

2. Moxibustion with cake: Preparation of moxibustion cake: Grind white aconite, raw Chuanwu, frankincense, asarum, myrrh, etc. into powder, add excipients to make a medicine cake with a diameter of 3 cm and a height of 1 cm, and puncture more than 10 holes on the cake.

The patient sits upright at the desk, bends his elbow and adducts his forearm to expose the Ashi point, and places the center of the moxibustion cake at the most painful area. Place a conical or cylindrical moxa cone made of pure moxa with a bottom diameter of 2.5 cm and a height of 1.5 cm on the cake and light it for moxibustion. During the moxibustion treatment, the patient will initially feel warm, and when the heat becomes unbearable (about 3 minutes after moxibustion), the cake can be picked up, and an appropriate amount of cotton wool can be placed underneath (to reduce the heat), and then the moxibustion cake can be placed on top. After the moxa cone is burned out, the cotton wool can be removed twice as the heat decreases. After moxibustion, the skin may appear dark red, with local pigmentation or small blisters. If there are blisters, apply gentian violet and bandage them with a small piece of sterilized dressing. The scab will form and fall off in 4 to 5 days without leaving any scars. Generally, it is applied once every 2 to 3 days (5 to 6 days if blisters occur), 3 times as a course of treatment, with 1 week between courses.

3. Efficacy evaluation

A total of 71 cases were treated, of which 50 were treated with moxibustion with medicine, 32 were cured, 11 were significantly effective, 4 were effective, and 3 were ineffective, with an effective rate of 94.0%; 21 cases were treated with moxibustion with cake, 5 were cured, 8 were significantly effective, and 8 were effective, with an overall effective rate of 100%.

Skin acupuncture

(I) Acupuncture points

Main acupoint: Ashi point. Associated acupoints: Shousanli, Quchi, Shaohai.

(II) Governing Law

Each time you select the main point and one auxiliary point, first use your thumb to press and rub the selected point for a while, then use the seven-star needle to prick the point. Use light stimulation at first, and when there is a local soreness and swelling, increase the pressure until blood beads of varying sizes ooze out of the local area. The puncture area is about 1 cm in diameter. Wipe off the blood stains and perform circular moxibustion on the local area with moxa sticks for about 15 minutes, until the local area flushes. Do it once a day, 6 times as a course of treatment, with 3 days between each course.

3. Efficacy evaluation

A total of 35 cases were treated with the above method, with 27 cases cured, 4 cases showing marked effect, 3 cases showing effective effect, and 1 case showing ineffectiveness, with an overall effective rate of 97.1%. Relapse and re-treatment are still effective.

Warm Needle

(I) Acupuncture points

Main acupoints: Ashi point and Shousanli point.

Acupoints: Quchi, Waiguan, Chize, Shaohai.

(II) Governing Law

The main acupoints are selected each time. If the pain is on the outside of the elbow, add Quchi and Waiguan. If the pain radiates to the inside of the elbow, add the other two acupoints. Use a No. 30 1.5-2 inch filiform needle to quickly insert the needle, and after getting the qi, use the method of equal tonification and equal drainage. Put the two moxa pads and moxibustion heads of the DAJ-10 multifunctional moxibustion instrument on the needle handles of the two main acupoints for moxibustion, and adjust the temperature to 40-50 degrees C. The needles were left in place for 30 minutes. Take once a day, 6 times as a course of treatment.

3. Efficacy evaluation

A total of 50 cases were treated, 32 were cured, 15 were effective, and 3 were ineffective, with an overall effective rate of 94%.

Acupuncture injection

(I) Acupuncture points

Main acupoints: Quchi and Ashi points.

(II) Governing Law

Solution: 25 mg of prednisolone plus 1-4 ml of 1-2% procaine injection, shake well.

Choose any main acupoint each time. After aspirating with a syringe, insert the needle 0.7 to 1.5 inches from Quchi, with the needle tip obliquely toward the lateral epicondyle of the humerus. Use the lifting and inserting technique, and after the air is obtained and no blood is drawn back, inject the medicine. You can also directly pierce the Ashi point, insert the needle deep into the tendon joint (the starting point of the extensor wrist muscle), and push in the medicine. After removing the needle, move the elbow joint for 2 minutes. Take once every 6 days, 3 times as a course of treatment.

Through the above understanding and introduction, I believe everyone can have a certain understanding of this treatment of tennis elbow. At the same time, I hope that everyone can get help from the above knowledge. At the same time, I also hope that everyone can do more exercises that are more suitable for them in their daily lives. At the same time, I hope that everyone will pay attention to safety while doing exercise.
