Thyroid CA is actually a relatively simple term for thyroid tumor. Ca is a noun. The term thyroid Ca is caused by certain reasons, and there are certain specific manifestations after the occurrence of thyroid CA. The manifestation locations of these symptoms have certain requirements. There may still be many people who don’t know much about the disease of thyroid CA. So what does thyroid CA mean?

Thyroid ca means malignant tumor, which is often used instead of cancer in hospitals. Such as, liver Ca, lung Ca, metastatic stomach Ca, etc.

Reason: First, clinicians refer to the Western model, which is abbreviated.

Second, to avoid taboos, after all, some people are still very afraid of the word "cancer". ——Although patients have the right to know, domestic doctors still try their best to take care of patients and their families, and generally do not write cancer (in the materials that patients can see, such as impact reports, bedside cards, test reports, etc.)

symptom

1. Local compression symptoms: If the thyroid tumor continues to swell, it may compress the recurrent laryngeal nerve, causing the patient to experience hoarseness, invade the esophagus, cause dysphagia and weight loss, and invade or compress the trachea, causing dyspnea, hemoptysis and chest discomfort.

2. Symptoms of local metastasis: In the late stage of local metastasis of thyroid cancer, hard and fixed lymph nodes often appear in the neck. Clinically, papillary carcinoma and medullary carcinoma are more likely to have metastasis and enlarged lymph nodes in the neck.

3. Associated symptoms: Patients with medullary carcinoma may also have pheochromocytoma and parathyroid hyperplasia or tumors. Clinically, they may experience symptoms such as diarrhea, palpitations, facial flushing, and hypocalcemia.

4. Symptoms of distant metastasis: The rate of thyroid cancer metastasis can reach 50% to 90.5%, and the rate of cervical lymph node metastasis is 64.56%. Distant metastasis of thyroid cancer is more common in the lungs, skull, vertebrae and pelvis. Brain metastasis can cause headache and vomiting, lung or mediastinal metastasis can cause cough, hemoptysis and chest discomfort, bone metastasis can cause pathological fractures and cause pain, and spinal cord metastasis can cause numbness or weakness in the hands and feet.
