Gastroesophageal reflux disease

Gastroesophageal reflux disease

Although the clinical treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease is very effective, the impact of the disease on people's lives cannot be underestimated, especially in the early stages of gastroesophageal reflux disease. Because there are no more serious symptoms, clinical symptoms include heartburn and acid reflux, so it does not attract much attention. Most people will treat it as a stomach disease at this time.

If this is the case, the best time for treating gastroesophageal reflux disease will be delayed, causing the symptoms of gastroesophageal reflux disease to worsen, which is likely to cause complications and may even lead to esophageal cancer. Therefore, in order to prevent gastroesophageal reflux disease, you must pay attention.

1. Eat on time, chew food slowly, and eat small and frequent meals.

2. Do not eat too much at dinner and do not eat 3 hours before going to bed.

3. Reduce fat intake and eat less high-fat foods such as chocolate, fatty meat, fried eggs, etc. Cook mainly by boiling, stewing, and braising, and do not use oil for frying.

4. The diet should be mainly high in protein and fiber. It is advisable to eat fresh vegetables, fruits, lean meat, fish, egg white, milk and various soy products to increase the intake of vitamin A, C and protein.

5. Reduce the intake of irritating condiments, beverages and spicy foods, such as chili, curry, pepper, garlic, mint, etc. Drink less acidic beverages such as fresh lemon juice, fresh orange juice, tomato juice, and avoid strong tea and coffee.

6. Avoid eating food that is too cold, too hot, too hard, or too salty.

7. After each acid reflux, you should drink a little warm water to rinse the esophageal mucosa burned by the acid (you can swallow saliva if there is no water); the amount of water you drink each time should not exceed 200mL, and it is better to drink small amounts multiple times.

8. Quit drinking and smoking, especially strong alcohol.

Only by paying attention to the above factors can you effectively prevent the occurrence of gastroesophageal reflux disease. In addition, for patients with gastroesophageal reflux disease, in order to recover from their disease as soon as possible, they must pay attention to not going to bed immediately after eating, and not bending over excessively after eating, so as to avoid worsening of gastroesophageal reflux disease symptoms.
