How to treat ganglion cyst

How to treat ganglion cyst

The main feature of a ganglion cyst is a common lump, a joint capsule in other parts of the body or a fever for a long time, but in daily life, its general symptoms and local symptoms are also very important. It mainly occurs in some other types. At any age, in daily life, it is mainly treated with some surgical and non-surgical treatments. When rheumatism is treated, it is also a very critical health care aspect.

It is necessary to pay attention to some vegetables or some high-protein foods and calcium foods in dietary nutrition. The effects of treatment were promptly treated by supplementing animal protein with lean chicken and eating more foods rich in vitamins and calcium.

1. Non-surgical treatment

(1) Acupuncture therapy: Since 1975, Dong Yumei from the Acupuncture Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of the Fourth Military Medical University has used acupuncture to treat more than a thousand cases of ganglion cysts, with an overall effective rate of 94.74%. The recurrence rate was 17.64% after follow-up for six months to 2.5 years. It can be cured after relapse. The treatment method is as follows: use ordinary acupuncture needles to penetrate the cyst wall around the cyst, pierce 4 needles in opposite directions and 1 needle in the center, once a day, and leave the needles in for 30 minutes each time. After removing the needles, apply pressure on the cyst to squeeze the cyst fluid out of the skin, and the cyst will flatten and heal (Figures 2, 3).

(2) Under local anesthesia, puncture with a thicker needle to extract as much colloidal fluid as possible, then inject 0.5 ml of hydrocortisone acetate and apply pressure bandage.

2. Surgical treatment: Cyst removal is a commonly used and reliable method (Figure 4). It should be performed under a tourniquet and with local infiltration anesthesia.

The surgical steps are as follows:

(1) Incision: Make a transverse incision slightly longer than the cyst along the skin grain at the most protruding part of the cyst.

(2) Expose the cyst: After incising the skin, separate the subcutaneous tissue longitudinally to expose the cyst.

(3) Cyst removal: Separate the cyst wall around the cyst to the pedicle and remove the cyst completely. If it is connected to the joint, the opening of the joint capsule can be sutured with fine thread.

(4) Suture the wound and apply slight pressure on the area.

The above is how to treat ganglion cysts. Eat more foods rich in vitamins and calcium, carry out timely treatment for the effects of treatment and some post-healing care. Mainly pay attention to some dietary adjustments, eat less spicy and irritating foods, and then there are better prevention and treatment for some other types of diseases.
