In our lives, the human body is inevitably invaded by various diseases. What people fear most is getting sick, because illness can be serious or minor. Some diseases can be cured after a period of treatment and do not require too much manpower and material resources; while some diseases are more difficult to treat or even cannot be cured, which will cause great harm to the body. Therefore, in order to resist the harm of disease, we should pay more attention to physical exercise and health preservation. When it comes to diseases, they are divided into curable diseases and incurable diseases. Incurable diseases are also called terminal illnesses, which endanger people's lives. Although sepsis is a curable disease, its treatment is very complicated. Let’s talk about the early symptoms of sepsis. Sepsis refers to an acute systemic infection caused by pathogenic bacteria or conditionally pathogenic bacteria invading the blood circulation, growing and multiplying in the blood, and producing toxins. Sepsis accompanied by multiple abscesses and a long course is called sepsis. Various bacteria that are pathogenic or conditionally pathogenic can become the causative agents of sepsis. Due to different eras, different underlying diseases of patients, different routes of introduction, and different age groups, the bacteria that cause sepsis are also different. The early symptoms of sepsis are generally as follows: 1. Symptoms of infection and poisoning Most cases have an acute onset, first with chills or shivering, followed by high fever. The fever pattern is uncertain, with remittent fever or prolonged fever. The weak, severely malnourished and young infants may not have a fever, or their body temperature may even be lower than normal. Mental depression or irritability. In severe cases, the face may become pale or gray and the patient may become unconscious. The extremities are cold, breathing is rapid, heart rate is increased, blood pressure is decreased, and infants and young children may also develop jaundice. 2. Skin damage Various skin lesions may be seen in some children, with petechiae, ecchymoses, scarlet fever-like rash, and urticaria-like rash being the most common. The rash is common on the skin of the limbs, trunk, or oral mucosa. In meningococcal sepsis, petechiae or ecchymoses of varying sizes may be seen; scarlet fever-like rash is common in streptococcal and Staphylococcus aureus sepsis. 3. Gastrointestinal symptoms Vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and even vomiting and bloody stools are common; in severe cases, toxic intestinal paralysis, dehydration, and acidosis may occur. 4. Joint symptoms Some children may experience joint swelling and pain, movement disorders or joint effusion, which are more common in large joints. 5. Hepatosplenomegaly It is more common in infants and young children, with mild or moderate swelling; some children may develop toxic hepatitis; when migratory damage of Staphylococcus aureus causes liver abscess, liver tenderness is obvious. Although the treatment of sepsis is very complicated, it can still be cured by medicine. The current methods for treating sepsis generally include basic treatment and symptomatic treatment, which mainly adopt different treatment methods according to different populations and different degrees of infection. In addition to the two treatment methods mentioned above, antibacterial therapy can also be used to treat sepsis because sepsis is mostly caused by bacterial infection. As long as timely and effective treatment is taken, patients with sepsis can be cured and recover their health as soon as possible. |
