The most well-known globulin is human serum globulin, which can be separated by electrophoresis into α1-, α2-, β1-, β2- and γ-globulin, and is immunogenic. In addition, there are lactoglobulin, myosin, etc. Most of the proteins in plant seeds belong to this category. Globulin is generally insoluble in water, but can be dissolved by adding a small amount of salt, acid or alkali.

For patients with hepatitis or cirrhosis, if the symptom of low globulin is mainly due to further degeneration of liver disease, it will also have a critical impact on the low globulin in the human body.
