The ingredients of Vitamin C Yinqiao Tablets produced by Guangxi Yingkang clearly state that they contain honeysuckle, forsythia, and schizonepeta. There are huge differences in medicinal efficacy and price between honeysuckle and golden honeysuckle. It is reported that both honeysuckle and Chinese honeysuckle contain chlorogenic acid, but the content of oleocanthal glycoside, a medicinal ingredient, is relatively high in honeysuckle, while the content in Chinese honeysuckle is negligible. In terms of price, the price of dried honeysuckle flowers is 60-70 yuan/kg, while that of honeysuckle is over 120 yuan/kg.
