Precursor of uremia

Precursor of uremia

Uremia is a very scary disease. It is a disease caused by kidney failure in the human body. Many things people eat are poisonous. Many people will feel strange that how can food be poisonous? For example, the leftovers from the second meal may be slightly poisonous. Raw vegetables may be slightly poisonous if left for a long time. These poisons must be detoxified by the liver and excreted from the body through the kidneys.

If the kidneys fail, they cannot metabolize excess water and waste in the blood to the bladder, and cannot form urine to be excreted from the body. The most common treatments for late-stage uremia are dialysis and kidney transplantation. Uremia is relatively simple to treat in its early stages. The signs of uremia are:

The gastrointestinal symptoms of uremia appear earliest, including poor appetite, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea, an ammonia smell in the mouth, inflamed gums, ulcers and bleeding of the oral mucosa, etc. The nervous system may experience insomnia, irritability, numbness and burning pain in the limbs. In the late stage, there may be drowsiness and even convulsions and coma. The cardiovascular system may present with hypertension and precordial pain, palpitations, shortness of breath, abdominal distension and pain, edema, and inability to lie flat caused by pericarditis and heart failure. Anemia and mucosal bleeding may occur in the blood system. The respiratory system may present with cough and chest pain caused by pneumonia and pleurisy. Uremia is a very dangerous disease, which can be life-threatening if not treated promptly.

Patients with uremia should ensure adequate rest and good nutrition, and avoid engaging in activities beyond their capacity. Avoid chemicals that damage your kidneys. Avoid products and environments containing cadmium, chloroform, ethylene glycol and tetrachloroethylene. They are commonly found in pesticides, car exhaust, paints, buildings and household cleaners

Patients with uremia should not smoke or drink. Eat less high-protein foods to reduce the burden on your kidneys. Protein is an essential substance for the human body to maintain normal functions. Since the amount of protein consumed is small, we should try to choose animal protein foods with higher nutritional value such as eggs and milk, and use less plant protein such as soy products.
