Early symptoms of hepatitis

Early symptoms of hepatitis

In medicine, hepatitis is a general term for liver inflammation. There are many factors that can cause hepatitis, such as viruses, parasites, alcohol, and bacteria. Depending on the cause of the disease, hepatitis is divided into viral hepatitis, alcoholic hepatitis, bacterial hepatitis, etc. The hepatitis we talk about in our daily lives generally refers to viral hepatitis such as type A, type B, and type C caused by viruses.

Since the causes of hepatitis vary, the symptoms of corresponding types of hepatitis are also different. The main symptoms include nausea when seeing greasy food, loss of appetite, vomiting, bloating, and easy fatigue. If it is icteric hepatitis, the sclera and skin will also turn yellow. Patients with severe hepatitis will have symptoms such as enlarged liver, pain in the liver area, ascites and even coma.

Hepatitis is a very serious infectious disease. In the early stages of hepatitis, there will be an incubation period. The incubation period of different types of hepatitis is also different. During the incubation period, there will be no obvious symptoms on the surface. During this period, even checking liver function will not reveal any abnormalities. Only through pathological examination can it be discovered that the patient has hepatitis, but at this time the liver has already been damaged.

Since early hepatitis patients will show symptoms such as yellow urine, general fatigue, loss of appetite, and fever (hepatitis A generally causes high fever, while hepatitis C often causes low fever), it is easy for patients to mistakenly think that they have a cold. There are also some other symptoms, such as upper abdominal discomfort, dizziness, and headache, which can easily be mistaken for diseases such as gastroenteritis or neurasthenia.

This causes patients to become careless, leading to delayed treatment and worsening of hepatitis. In addition, some bad living habits are also the main causes of liver disease. People who drink too much are prone to alcoholic liver disease. People who eat too much greasy food and exercise too little are prone to fatty liver disease, which can be fatal in severe cases. So for the happiness of you and your family, you must develop good living habits.
