1. Exercise

Turning over (supine - prone) Your baby has grown a little bit. He (she) no longer likes to lie flat on the bed. He (she) wants to try changing postures and understand the world from more directions. Parents can often tease their babies in different directions to encourage them to turn over skillfully. At first, the baby may not be able to pull his hands out after turning over. Parents can give some help and slowly train the baby to put his hands in place, turn over skillfully, and choose postures freely, laying the foundation for further activities.

Head upright

Hold your baby upright several times a day to let him practice holding his head upright. Generally, a 2-month-old baby can hold his head upright for more than 10 seconds to 2 minutes. Parents must pay attention to protecting their babies when practicing head erection. You can also hold the baby with his/her back against your chest, so that there is a wide space in front of the baby. There will be many new things to arouse the baby's interest, allowing him/her to practice raising his/her head more actively.

Pull up and sit

After training in movements such as prone head raising and turning over, the baby's neck, forearms, waist and other parts of the body will gradually become stronger, and the baby's demands for changing posture will increase. At this time, you can try to pull the baby up to sit. When the baby is in the supine position, the parents hold the child's hands and let the baby use his own strength. The parents only need to use a little force to help and pull the baby to a sitting position. This activity can be done several times a day, with parents gradually reducing the force they use, and training the child to pull himself up by simply holding the adult's fingers.

After 3 months, the baby's visual and auditory senses have become more sensitive, and they begin to be selective in response to external stimuli. During this period, the baby should still be given more visual and auditory stimulation. You can put some toys in front of the child or on the table and hold the baby to watch. Change toys frequently, from big to small, to train your baby to concentrate and choose what he likes to see.

Reach out and grab

After 3 months, the baby's hands are no longer clenched into fists, but gradually open, ready to grab things. During this period, you can put some small toys (such as flower bell rings, small building blocks, flower bell sticks, etc.) in front of the baby, or hang these toys up and train the baby to grab them. Maybe at the beginning the baby just has the consciousness to reach out, but even though he uses his whole body to do something, he still cannot grab it accurately. At this time, parents can bring the toy close to the baby so that he (she) can grab it and let him (her) experience the joy of grabbing the toy. This will give him (her) confidence until the baby can grab the toy more accurately.
