When the head moves or when yawning or blowing the nose, a sound of air passing through water may be heard in the ears. Sometimes hearing improvement may be noticed when the head is tilted forward or toward the healthy side. There is self-auditory enhancement, that is, the sound of the outside world becomes smaller, and the sound of one's own voice becomes louder. Some patients experience mild ear pain.
