The skin lesions are round or oval localized keratin hyperplasia, ranging in size from a needle tip to a broad bean, light yellow or dark yellow in color, with a smooth surface that is flush with the skin surface or slightly raised, with clear boundaries, and an inverted cone-shaped keratin plug in the center embedded in the dermis. The tip of the keratin plug stimulates the nerve endings in the dermal papilla, causing pain when standing or walking. Corns often occur at the third metatarsal head in the front and middle part of the plantar, on the tibial edge of the metatarsal, and also on the dorsum of the little toe and the second toe, or between the toes, and other protruding and friction-prone areas.

Treatment of corns

Corn plaster: Corn plaster is the earliest and most commonly used product for treating corns. The working principle of corn plaster is mainly to corrode the corns and then pull them out. The pain is severe and extremely painful, and during treatment, the patient is unable to wear shoes and walk normally. Most people will feel the pain getting worse after using corn ointment halfway through treatment, and will give up treatment automatically, causing corns to recur again and again.

Local treatment: Both soft and hard corns can be treated with 30% salicylic acid collodion once a day, and soak in hot water after one week. The treatment is not complete.

Physical therapy: For small numbers of skin lesions, physical therapies such as freezing and laser can be used. They are effective quickly, but are less likely to recur and leave scars.

Surgical excision: It can be used for common warts. It has quick effects but is expensive, prone to infection, and prone to recurrence after surgery.

Systemic treatment: Polymyxin B, interferon and other drugs can be used for initial treatment. If the wart is relatively large, it is not recommended to use this treatment method, and the treatment will not be thorough. This method is the worst way to treat corns. Most people do not choose it because it has serious side effects.

Acupuncture treatment: filiform needle circumferential needling, fire needle, three-edged needle, and moxibustion. The effect is slow.

External drug treatment: U-gram uses pure Chinese herbal preparations, which are non-irritating, have no side effects, and do not contain hormones. It can completely cure corns and plantar warts without recurrence, and can be used by pregnant women and children.

Corns are caused by standing or walking for a long time. This disease will have many impacts on us. The most obvious symptom is pain. If corns appear, they must be treated actively. Corn ointment is often used during treatment. Everyone should know whether corn ointment is useful.
