Vascular Parkinson's syndrome

Vascular Parkinson's syndrome

Vascular Parkinson's syndrome is a disease classified together with multiple symptoms similar to Parkinson's disease. This disease may occur suddenly and sometimes be hidden. The most common symptoms of this disease are difficulty starting, small steps or gait disorders. In summary, the movements are relatively slow, the face lacks expression and appears dull, and the patient also has symptoms of dementia. It is a relatively difficult disease.

People with vascular Parkinson's syndrome generally have a history of hypertension and diabetes. Patients with this disease are generally treated with surgery or medication, which can generally alleviate clinical manifestations. But what are the precautions for vascular Parkinson's syndrome? Let's take a look at it below.

Parkinson's disease is more common in the elderly, and is accompanied by autonomic nervous system dysfunction, decreased digestive function, gastrointestinal motility, spasm, constipation and excessive skin oil secretion. The diet should be based on the patient's condition and dietary preferences, and attention should be paid to the food ratio and structure, as well as the combination of side dishes, meat and vegetables, and color and variety. Eat more foods rich in vitamins and easily digestible, eat more fresh vegetables and fruits, drink more water, eat more foods containing tyrosine such as melon seeds, almonds, sesame seeds, skim milk, etc., which can promote the synthesis of dopamine in the brain, and appropriately control fat intake.

The protein diet should not be excessive. Blindly giving a high-protein diet can reduce the efficacy of levodopa, because the large amount of neutral amino acids produced during protein digestion can compete with levodopa to enter the brain and affect its efficacy. Therefore, it is necessary to include appropriate amounts of eggs, milk, fish, meat and other foods in the diet to ensure the supply of protein. The daily requirement is 0.8-1.2g/kg body weight. If there is fever, bedsores, etc., the protein supply should be increased.

Pay more attention to the precautions of vascular Parkinson's syndrome. If you want to reduce the chance of onset of the disease, it is helpful to know more about the precautions. You can also start with diet therapy to alleviate the condition. Patients should relax and maintain a positive attitude, so that their life will be better and it will also help to alleviate their condition.
