Early symptoms of cervical spondylosis

Early symptoms of cervical spondylosis

With the development of science and technology and the emergence of computers, the incidence of cervical spondylosis is increasing, and it is affecting younger and younger people. Many students and office workers work in front of computers for a long time, and some are addicted to online games, so they are prone to cervical spondylosis. If cervical spondylosis is discovered and treated in time, it can still be self-treated. This illustrates the importance of early detection and early treatment. What are the early symptoms of cervical spondylosis?

So, how does cervical spondylosis develop? It is mainly related to people's long-term incorrect posture. Long-term gaming at a desk, reading in bed, and using a pillow that is too high may all cause cervical spondylosis. It can also be caused by external dampness, wind, cold, etc. Sometimes it is also related to trauma.

The early symptoms of cervical spondylosis include:

1. Torticollis: The neck has always been very straight, but suddenly one day the neck tilts to one side and the face turns to the other side; when wearing a necklace, the pendant on the necklace tilts to one side or the necklace tilts to one side. Of course, for diseases such as spasmodic torticollis, the crooked neck will be very obvious, and the muscles on both sides of the neck will be obviously swollen. In addition, if pediatric torticollis is not treated in time, this type of torticollis will always be with you, rather than appearing suddenly. But no matter what the cause of the torticollis, as long as torticollis occurs, your cervical spine will not get better.

2. Hunched shoulders: The shoulders on both sides are not of the same height, and one side is obviously hunched up while the other side is drooped; the back is hunched and the two sides of the spine are not of the same height, one side is full while the other side is sunken; when getting dressed, one sleeve is found to be longer than the other. Obvious hunchback is more common in congenital heredity and osteoporosis in the elderly. Similarly, no matter what kind of hunchback, the cervical spine will not be in good condition.

3. Coldness in the neck and back: The neck or back feels particularly cold, with a feeling of tightness or even stiffness. The back of the neck is where the Du meridian and the Bladder meridian run, and the Du meridian and the Bladder meridian are the parts where the human body's Yang energy is most concentrated. Generally, people are not afraid of cold and stiff, so once you are afraid of cold and stiff, it means that there is obvious blockage of Qi and blood in your Du meridian or Bladder meridian, which is also the basic pathological change that leads to cervical spondylosis.

In fact, cervical spondylosis is also a kind of bone disease. Bone disease requires more calcium supplementation and eating more calcium-containing foods. On the other hand, you should pay attention to keeping warm and not get cold. Wind-cold and dampness caused by cold are taboos for bone disease. After getting cold, it is easy for qi and blood to be blocked, and the injured cervical vertebra is prone to relapse of old diseases. The saying "If there is pain, there is blockage; if there is blockage, there is no pain" is exactly this principle.
