Alzheimer's disease precautions

Alzheimer's disease is what we often call senile dementia. In fact, when it comes to this disease, there are some classifications. Patients under 65 years old are called early-stage dementia, and patients over 65 are called senile dementia. We are all quite familiar with this disease. Most patients only have vague memories of some past events, while some serious patients no longer remember themselves and the people around them, and live in a state of dementia and unable to take care of themselves.

People are still not very clear about the cause of Alzheimer's disease, but some prevention measures can be taken, such as strengthening mental activities. It is normal for the elderly to have memory loss, but with proper exercise, the brain can still be very flexible. What are the precautions for Alzheimer's disease? Let's take a look below.

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, fatal neurodegenerative disease with clinical manifestations of continuous deterioration of cognitive and memory functions, progressive decline in daily living ability, and various neuropsychiatric symptoms and behavioral disorders. The disease often begins in old age or early old age, develops slowly and progresses gradually, with dementia as the main manifestation. There is often a family history of the disease, and the disease progresses rapidly.

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive, fatal neurodegenerative disease with clinical manifestations of continuous deterioration of cognitive and memory functions, progressive decline in daily living ability, and various neuropsychiatric symptoms and behavioral disorders.

Treatment of Alzheimer's disease includes five major components: neuroprotective therapies, cholinesterase inhibitors, nonpharmacological interventions and psychopharmacological agents to reduce behavioral disturbances, health maintenance activities, and collaboration between the clinician and family members and others who care for the patient. Treatment requires accurate diagnosis and increasingly relies on an understanding of the pathophysiology of the disease.

If there is a patient with Alzheimer's disease in the family, family members should take good care of the elderly, accompany them to relax, and carry out some activities and exercises to remind the elderly of the ability to take care of themselves and some memories. This can reduce the burden on family members, help patients recover, alleviate the deterioration of the disease, and allow them to take care of themselves.
