The harm of ascaris eggs in weight loss

The Ascaris egg weight loss method is to swallow Ascaris eggs raw, allowing them to reproduce freely in the abdominal cavity, thereby consuming excess nutrients and achieving the purpose of weight loss. Although eating roundworms is a way to lose weight, the harm of eating roundworm eggs is also very serious and may affect people's physical development.

1. Life-threatening

Ascaris is the largest parasitic nematode in the human intestine. If you do not pay attention to dietary hygiene, ascaris may grow in your stomach, causing symptoms such as loss of appetite, malnutrition, sallow complexion and thin body. Eating roundworm eggs will allow them to develop into roundworms in the body and absorb nutrients from the human body to achieve the goal of losing weight. However, this method of losing weight carries considerable risks because the roundworms may drill into the bile duct, pancreatic duct and other parts of the body, causing great harm to the human body and even endangering life.

2. Impact on development

After the Ascaris eggs containing larvae are swallowed into the human body, they do not grow and develop directly in the intestines. Instead, they transform from eggs into larvae, circulate through the human blood, pass through important organs such as the heart and lungs, and then return to the intestines to develop into adults. The roaming and development of roundworms in the human body can cause serious harm, so this method of weight loss is not clinically recommended.

3. Inflammation

"Ascaris larvae can cause inflammation such as intestinal mucosal congestion, edema, and eosinophil infiltration in the intestine." According to Li Jing, if infectious ascaris eggs are swallowed, the larvae will escape from the intestine, pass through the intestinal wall, enter the lymph glands and mesenteric veins, pass through the liver, heart, and lungs, pass through the capillaries to reach the alveoli, and then pass through the organs, mouth, esophagus, gastrointestinal tract, and return to the small intestine. The whole process takes about 25-30 days.

4. Intestinal obstruction

"Ascaris parasitic in the body can cause obstruction of the intestines, bile ducts and pancreatic ducts. Ascaris may also invade the lungs, causing acute abdomen, and in severe cases even death," said Li Jing. Because ascaris have the characteristic of drilling into any cracks or gaps, the larvae may also invade the brain, heart, eyes and other organs, causing organ damage. In comatose patients, roundworms can burrow into organs through the throat and cause suffocation.
