Bronchitis precautions

Bronchitis precautions

Generally speaking, the elderly should pay attention to preventing this bronchitis disease and exercise more often. Although the incidence rate has increased with age in recent years, there are many patients over 50 years old in my country. In order to avoid irritating the respiratory tract and worsening the condition of bronchitis, we must pay more attention in our daily life. Therefore, there is certainly no room for error in diet.

The most common phenomenon is the decline in resistance among the elderly. Therefore, insisting on physical exercise is one of the effective ways to prevent the occurrence of diseases. Don’t underestimate its ineffectiveness. It has many benefits for the human body. Let’s take a look at the precautions for bronchitis.

1. Actively control infection: In the acute phase, follow the doctor's advice and choose effective antibacterial drugs for treatment. After the acute infection is controlled, stop using antibiotics promptly to avoid side effects caused by long-term use.

2. Quit smoking: Patients with chronic bronchitis should not only quit smoking first, but also avoid passive smoking which increases respiratory resistance.

3. Promote expectoration: Patients in the acute phase should use antitussive and expectorant drugs while using antibiotics. Helping critically ill patients change their body positions regularly and gently massaging their chest and back can promote the discharge of phlegm.

4. Maintain good home environment hygiene, keep the indoor air fresh and with a certain humidity, control and eliminate all kinds of harmful gases and smoke, quit the habit of smoking, and keep warm.

5. Strengthen physical exercise, improve physical fitness and enhance respiratory resistance.

6. During climate change and cold seasons, pay attention to adding or removing clothes in time to avoid catching a cold and prevent influenza. Pay attention to changes in the condition and understand the patterns of the disease so that you can take measures in advance.

From this we can know that, in fact, the occurrence of every disease requires the cooperation of the patient himself in order to recover quickly. During treatment, in addition to taking medicine as instructed by the doctor, it is also important to pay attention to maintaining a good family hygiene environment and have a good lifestyle, which will help our health.
