Symptoms of gout in the big toe

Everyone is familiar with gout. Friends who have suffered from gout know that gout is very painful when it occurs, and is accompanied by symptoms such as swelling, stiffness, erythema, and even many patients will have a fever. Therefore, gout is very painful. In severe cases, the pain is unbearable, especially gout in the big toe, which will seriously affect normal life and work. Sometimes people even dare not walk.

Gout in the big toe is a common site of gout-related diseases and requires timely treatment. If treatment is delayed, there is a risk of affecting the health of the whole body. Gout patients also need to pay attention to their diet. They are prohibited from eating foods with high purine content, including animal offal, soy products, seafood, poultry and other foods. They should drink more water, which can promote the excretion of uric acid in the body and relieve the symptoms of gout.

Gout attack on the big toe is one of the most typical symptoms of gout. Since the early symptoms of gout mostly occur in the joints of the feet, the heels and big toes become the hardest hit areas. Occasional joint pain, swelling and fever are quite common.

Symptoms/Analysis

Gout usually starts with frequent attacks that usually affect only one joint and usually only last for a few days, but later it can affect multiple joints simultaneously or successively.

If untreated it can last for several weeks. Finally, local symptoms and signs subsided and joint function recovered.

The length of the symptom-free interval varies greatly, becoming shorter as the disease progresses. Symptoms of gout are similar to those of acute infection, including swelling, local heat, redness, and obvious tenderness.

The local skin is severely damaged, hot, shiny, and dark red or purple in appearance.

The metatarsophalangeal joint of the big toe is most commonly affected (foot gout), and the arch of the foot, ankle, knee, wrist and elbow are also common sites of disease.

Everyone knows the symptoms of gout in the big toe. If you suffer from gout, you must actively seek treatment and not delay. Gout itself is a very troublesome disease. If you don’t take it seriously, it will lead to more serious consequences that will affect your normal life.
