Air bubbles in the lungs

Air bubbles in the lungs

Many people don’t know much about the problem of bubbles in the lungs. In fact, this may be a phenomenon of bullous lungs, that is, local emphysema. We cannot easily ignore this problem, because if the situation is more serious, secondary infection will occur, affecting our normal breathing and physical health. Therefore, we must actively receive treatment when facing this problem.

Many times when facing some diseases, if the situation is not very obvious, people will choose to ignore it, but in fact this will cause greater harm to their own health and society. So I hope that everyone can pay more attention to their own health in daily life, and actively solve problems when they encounter them.

Your case is considered bullous, a type of localized emphysema. The bullae are highly inflated, with the walls of the bullae rupturing and fusing together, usually caused by valvular obstruction of the small bronchi. Asymptomatic bullae do not require treatment. For patients with chronic bronchitis or emphysema, treatment is mainly focused on the primary lesion. If secondary infection occurs, antibiotics should be used.

Bullae are large in size, occupying 70% to 100% of one side of the chest cavity. For patients with clinical symptoms but no other lung lesions, surgical removal of the bullae can re-expand the compressed lung tissue. The current advanced treatment method is complete thoracoscopic minimally invasive treatment. Surgical treatment does not require cutting of the ribs and sternum, has little trauma, concealed incisions, and good results.

After understanding the cause of bubbles in the lungs, I hope everyone can pay more attention to this problem and not ignore it easily. No matter how serious the symptoms are, you must actively undergo examination to reduce adverse effects and ensure good health.
