What are the benefits of Cordyceps sinensis

Cordyceps sinensis, from the name it seems to be both a bug and a grass. It should be noted here that Cordyceps sinensis is neither a worm nor a grass. It is a product of the combination of a fungus and an insect. Cordyceps sinensis is rich in nutrients. Taking it can replenish the body's vitality, regulate the body's yin and yang balance, and has good health-care effects. Cordyceps sinensis is a tonic suitable for all ages. Here is a brief introduction to Cordyceps sinensis.

Cordyceps sinensis is composed of the insect body and the fungus base connected, with a total length of 9 to 12 cm. The body of the insect is like an old silkworm that has rested for three days, about 3 to 6 cm long and 0.4 to 0.7 cm thick. The appearance is dark yellow and rough, with many transverse wrinkles on the back. There are 8 pairs of legs on the ventral side, and the 4 pairs located in the middle of the insect body are clearly visible. The interior of the cross section is solid, white, slightly yellowish, and the periphery is dark yellow. The colony grows from the head of the insect body, is rod-shaped, curved, and slightly swollen at the top. The surface is gray-brown or black-brown, up to 4 to 8 cm long and about 0.3 cm in diameter. When broken, the inside is empty and pink-white. Slight odor, light taste. The best ones are those with bright yellow body color, plump and large body, yellow-white cross-section and short mushroom seat.

Cordyceps sinensis is the name of a medicine. Its appearance is very strange. It is a bug in winter and a grass in summer. So how does it turn from a bug into a grass? In the summer, the spores of a fungus called Cordyceps mature and scatter, then germinate into mycelium that drills into the bodies of bat moth larvae and absorbs nutrients from the larvae. The larvae of the bat moth hide in the soil, and the Cordyceps fungus grows many filaments called mycelium. Since all the nutrients in the larvae's body have been sucked out, only a dead shell remains, and of course it cannot transform into a bat moth. In the spring and summer of the following year, when the temperature and weather are suitable, the mycelium grows out of the larvae's mouthparts and extends out of the ground. The top is slightly swollen and looks like a stick, with many small spherical spores on the surface. These spores can spread in the air, and there are countless bat moth larvae in the grass that will become the habitat of these spores.

Generally speaking, friends with diabetes, chronic gastritis, or elderly chronic bronchitis can eat Cordyceps sinensis. Although Cordyceps sinensis has a good effect of nourishing the body after taking it, you must be extra careful not to stay up late, not to eat spicy food, and to relax yourself during the period of taking Cordyceps sinensis.
