Are finger skin diseases contagious?

With the development of society, people's lifestyles and work types have become more diverse and complex, and various diseases have quietly appeared in the human body. Among them, finger skin diseases are more common in life. Most of them are caused by fungal infections. Among them, tinea manuum is one of the more serious skin diseases caused by fungal infections that can be contagious. The cause of tinea manuum is relatively complicated, and the symptoms are also different. At the beginning of treatment, a diagnosis of the symptoms must be made before symptomatic treatment can be carried out. So what are the symptoms of tinea manuum?

1) Vesicular scaly tinea manuum: When this type of tinea manuum occurs, it will be accompanied by obvious itching sensation, blisters will appear on the skin, and there will be clear liquid inside the blisters. When the blisters dry up, scales will form and fall off, and the range will expand to the periphery, and finally annular skin lesions will form.

2) Keratotic and thickened tinea manuum: Most patients with this type of tinea manuum have rough and dry skin, which will become chapped in the winter and will be painful when the hands are cracked.

3) Erosive tinea manuum: This type of tinea manuum mostly occurs between the fingers. The skin surface will be moist and white, with symptoms such as exfoliation and erosion, accompanied by severe itching.

And I know that since ringworm is contagious, it’s so scary! ! ! Therefore, when tinea manuum develops in the early stages, you should immediately go to a specialist hospital for diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Do not delay treatment, which will cause the disease to develop and spread, causing certain difficulties for subsequent treatment. While undergoing treatment, care and prevention should also be carried out in daily life. In particular, patients with tinea manuum should not share towels and other daily necessities with others to avoid transmitting the disease to others.
