Traditional Chinese Medicine Stomach Health Exercise

Traditional Chinese Medicine Stomach Health Exercise

In life, many friends suffer from insufficient gastric motility and gastrointestinal discomfort due to irregular diet or lack of exercise after meals. This will seriously affect the stomach function for a long time. In order to maintain normal stomach function, it is recommended that friends can do some stomach-nourishing exercises in their daily life, which have a very good effect on nourishing and protecting the stomach. If you don’t know how to do it, this article will introduce you to the steps of Chinese medicine stomach-nourishing exercises.

The stomach is mainly used to grind large pieces of food into small pieces (also known as physical digestion) and to break down large molecules in food into smaller molecules (also known as chemical digestion) for further absorption.

1. The first step is to twist the spine

From right to left, place one hand on the shoulder and the other hand on the hip. It can help speed up our gastrointestinal motility. Nowadays, we work in offices and exercise less, which makes us prone to bloating and constipation. This exercise is very effective.

2. The second step is back bend

We first use both hands to hold the bottom of the waist for protection, then bend the body backward with the waist as the center, and the front abdominal muscles will feel stretched. After staying for 5 to 10 seconds, we can lift it up, and then repeat it. Generally speaking, according to our personal situation, we can do it 10 to 20 times.

3. The third step is to turn your waist

After putting your hands on your waist, you can rotate clockwise 100 times and then counterclockwise 100 times, but be gentle. This can also promote gastrointestinal motility.

4. The fourth step is abdominal massage

We use both palms to rub the abdomen clockwise around our navel. When we do the finger-guessing movement, the amplitude can be a little larger and our hands can apply a little force to press our abdomen. This can make our gastrointestinal qi more regulated and have the effect of warming the meridians and dredgeing the collaterals. The number of times we do this varies from person to person and can be 20 to 50 times. This is our four-step stomach-nourishing exercise, which mainly promotes gastrointestinal motility and makes the gastrointestinal qi more regulated.

Through the introduction in this article, I believe you must know how to do the Chinese medicine stomach-nourishing exercises. In fact, if you want to nourish the stomach, the effect of only doing the above-mentioned exercises is not very obvious. It is recommended that you first start with changing your eating habits. Be careful not to overeat, eat less spicy food, and don’t go hungry for a long time because of weight loss. This will better protect our stomach.
