Phase II In this second stage, breathing is done alternately through the left and right nostrils. Breathing should be deep and long, but natural and not forced. Don't be nervous. The position of the right hand is the same as in the first stage, and the practice is as follows: Close your right nostril with your thumb, inhale through your left nostril, then close your left nostril and exhale through your right nostril. Then inhale through the right nostril again, close it, and exhale through the left nostril. This is 1 round. Repeat this sequence again: inhale through the left nostril, exhale through the right nostril, inhale through the right nostril, exhale through the left nostril.
