The arrival of the Lesser Heat solar term also marks the beginning of the hottest period of summer, which is why "Lesser Heat is not less than that".

However, most people only try to nourish the heart on the surface, thinking that removing heart fire and cooling heart blood is the way to nourish the heart, so they consume a lot of cooling foods, not realizing that this will extinguish the body's yang energy.

The most important thing for human health is to pay attention to the five colors, five sounds, and five flavors, and to examine one's inner desires. The amount of information in today's chaotic world is too great. The colorful, complex and ever-changing society is all "color", that is, the tangible world. When faced with these five colors, we recommend that you close your eyes and relax in a quiet place to cultivate your mind.

Eat less sweet food and more hot food

Lesser Heat is in the sixth month of the lunar calendar, the last month of summer, which was called Jixia in ancient times and Changxia in Chinese medicine. The long summer is approaching, so it is best to eat less sweet food to help fire generate earth, and eat hot food to nourish yin.

Eight Treasures, Dried Scallops and Winter Melon: Nourishing Yin on the Most Yang Day

Wash half a winter melon, cut it into large pieces with the skin, add 3 shiitake mushrooms, 20 lotus seeds, 20g coix seeds, and 3 snow fungus, soak them in water until done, and then add them to the pot;

Wash and put dried scallops (20 pieces), dried shrimps (10 pieces), and lean meat (1 tael) into the pot, add clear soup, and cook until all the ingredients are gone.

Seal and cook for more than an hour, then add a small amount of salt when serving.

This diet is designed to nourish qi and yin, and promote diuresis and the production of body fluids. Why should we cultivate Yin when Yang is at its peak?

This is because: those who are good at replenishing yin must seek yin within yang. Therefore, when nourishing yang in spring and summer, you should not be too greedy for coolness, but should eat hot food.
