Computer users, do you know what will happen to you after using the computer for a long time?

The spine is formed by the superposition of vertebrae and intervertebral discs, and has a precise structure. Deformation of the spine causes changes in the structure between the upper and lower vertebrae, resulting in abnormal biomechanical effects on the intervertebral discs and surrounding tissues, which over time can lead to intervertebral disc herniation, soft tissue strain and degeneration, etc. Therefore, spinal deformity is the root cause of spinal diseases. Here are some common causes of spinal deformities:

1. Use the computer for a long time. People's lives are inseparable from computers for work, surfing the Internet, and playing games. Moreover, they generally use computers for long periods of time and lack activity. If they stay in the same posture for a long time, their muscles are bound to become stiff and strained. Moreover, some display screens are not in the center, but tilted to the left or right. You need to twist your head and waist when looking at the screen. Long-term posture inertia will cause rotation and scoliosis of the spine, which will cause illness over time.

2. Look down at your phone and read. It is unavoidable to lower your head while working, but people still look down at their phones or read for a long time outside of work. When the time you lower your head exceeds the time you raise your head every day, the physiological curvature of the cervical spine will become straight and hyperextension.

3. The seats are soft and reclined. If there is a sofa and a hard chair, most people will choose to sit on the sofa because it is indeed comfortable. However, because the sofa surface is wide and generally an inclined surface with higher front and lower back, people's knees are higher than hips when sitting on the sofa. The hips generally sit on the front half of the sofa surface, not the head, and the back of the person has to lean against the back of the sofa. Therefore, a gap will appear between the waist and hips and the sofa back. For comfort, people will sink their waist backwards to fill this gap. Doing this for a long time will straighten and hyperextension the curvature of the waist. In addition, people like to half-lying or leaning at will, without any regular or correct posture, which causes the spine to twist and become deformed due to lack of support.

4. Long-term driving. The design of a car seat is generally high in the front and low in the back, that is, the position of the buttocks is low. When a person sits on it, the knee joint is higher than the buttocks, and the waist does not have enough forward convex support. According to the principles of mechanics, the lumbar spine is bound to bend backward and gradually become hyperextension.

5. Soft bed, low pillow, and poor sleeping posture. A soft bed provides no support for the spine, which is a chronic injury to the spine. You will feel back pain in the morning. A low pillow, a soft pillow, a high pillow, or no pillow will prevent the cervical spine from being in a straight line with the thoracic and lumbar spine, causing scoliosis and deformation of the cervical spine.

6. Lack of exercise or improper exercise. Lack of exercise leads to muscle weakness, osteoporosis, and a lack of stable protection for the spine. However, improper exercise such as excessive pushing puts too much load on the spine, which can cause vertebral compression and disc herniation; unilateral exercise causes different muscle strengths on both sides of the spine, resulting in different pulling forces on the spine, causing scoliosis and rotation of the spine.

7. Improper working posture in daily life. For example, bending over to wash clothes, wash vegetables, wash dishes, brush teeth, hunch over to mop the floor, lower your head to embroider, etc., long-term bending over will cause the curvature of the cervical and lumbar spine to straighten.

8. Lack of outdoor exercise. Many people lose the opportunity to bask in the sun because they go out during the day and come back at night. This makes it difficult for calcium to be absorbed, causing the body's tissues and bones to become fragile, making the body naturally more susceptible to damage.
