3. To treat cold pain in the heart and abdomen: 1-2 liang of mountain pepper root, 2 liang of rice wine, add water as needed, boil into half a bowl, and take before meals.

3. Function and indications

It can dispel wind, activate collaterals, detoxify and reduce swelling, stop bleeding and relieve pain. Used to treat: strain, soreness and numbness of muscles and bones, poor appetite, swollen limbs, initial pain and swelling, redness, swelling and burning pain, rheumatic paralysis, wind-heat cold, and aphasia caused by stroke.

Additional prescription 1: Aphasia caused by stroke. Prescription: 3 grams each of dried pepper and broomcorn millet fruit. Usage: Dry, grind into coarse powder, soak in boiling water, take twice a day, for 3 to 5 days.

Additional prescription 2: Wheezing and coughing. Prescription: 60 grams of dried mountain pepper, 1 pair of pig lungs, 30 ml of rice wine. Usage: Add water and stew until soft, add a little sugar, remove the residue, and take in 2 to 3 times.

Additional prescription 3: Overwork, soreness and numbness of muscles and bones, poor appetite, and swollen limbs. Prescription: 60 grams of Piper melongena root. Usage: decoct in water and remove the residue, add appropriate amount of brown sugar and rice wine, take warm in 2 times, morning and evening on an empty stomach.

Additional prescription 4: When carbuncle first appears, it will cause redness, swelling, burning and pain. Prescription: equal parts of fresh mountain pepper leaves, young maple leaves, and fresh hibiscus leaves. Usage: Wash, mash and apply to the affected area.

Additional prescription 5: Rheumatic paralysis. Prescription: 50 grams of mountain pepper root, 1 pig's foot, and 120 ml of rice wine. Usage: Add appropriate amount of water, stew until soft, and take in 2 doses before meals.

Additional prescription 6: Wind-heat cold. Prescription: 30 grams of young leaves of Piper melongena, 25 grams of Serissa serrulata, and 30 grams of Isatis indigotica. Usage: Decoction in water and take in 2 doses.
