What type of hernia is it that causes bulging scrotum in baby? How to treat it?

The mother will take good care of the baby as soon as it is born. However, no matter how much attention the mother pays to details, some problems cannot be avoided. So what is the scrotal hernia in the baby?

What type of hernia is it that causes scrotal bulging in the baby?

Hernia occurs in the abdomen or near the abdomen, and the bulging object is the small intestine and other internal organs. It occurs when the abdominal pressure increases. If the hernia occurs in the lower abdomen, thigh, scrotum, labia, etc., it is an inguinal oblique hernia.

Inguinal hernia is divided into indirect hernia and direct hernia, among which indirect hernia has a higher incidence rate and more severe symptoms. Infants and young children are most likely to develop inguinal hernia, followed by the elderly. The main population suffering from inguinal hernia is male, and the incidence rate among women is lower.

Is an inguinal hernia serious?

After suffering from indirect hernia, it must be treated as soon as possible. Although it will only cause pain in the early stage, if it is delayed for a long time, it will not be as simple as pain. It will affect the digestive system. After the bulge falls into the scrotum, it will also affect the reproductive function. Failure to treat it may cause lifelong regrets.

No matter what kind of hernia it is, it must be treated actively. If it is delayed for too long, the treatment time will also be longer. If incarceration occurs, the small intestine cannot return to its original position, and the treatment will be difficult and life-threatening!

How to treat inguinal hernia?

The main treatments for hernia are surgical treatment and non-surgical treatment. Non-surgical treatment mainly includes drug therapy, hernia belt therapy and non-invasive treatment.

Since surgical treatment uses traditional anesthesia and traditional cutting methods, it is not only very painful but also causes large incisions, making it extremely unsuitable for the elderly and infants, and thus has narrow applicability. Traditional surgery lacks the corresponding microscopic equipment and is prone to injuring other normal tissues or blood vessels when treating patients with hydrocele, especially infants and young children. It is risky and is therefore generally not recommended.
