Symptoms of genital herpes in women may also occur simultaneously with other symptoms, such as fever, malaise, headache, stiff neck, meningitis and sacral nervous system dysfunction. Genital herpes can be transmitted through sexual intercourse. Patients infected with herpes may develop ulcers around the genitals or mouth. After infection, it takes 2-10 days for the disease to develop, and the ulcers usually last for several years.

Harm three: affecting fertility and harming future generations

When genital herpes spreads to the lips, it can cause herpes simplex labialis. If a pregnant woman is infected with the herpes virus, it will be transmitted to the fetus through the placenta, causing microcephaly, congenital heart disease, limb defects, microphthalmia and other diseases in the offspring. If the infection is transmitted to the newborn during delivery, the fetus will often develop encephalitis. Therefore, the harm caused by sexually transmitted diseases to women is much more serious than that to men.
