Hernia refers to a condition in which the contents of the body cavity protrude outward, often accompanied by symptoms of gas pain. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the onset of hernia is often related to the liver meridian. Any stagnation of liver qi, or stagnation of liver meridian by cold can cause hernia. There are also cases where the congenital internal organs are weak and cannot be contracted, causing hernia. So what are the dietary treatments for hernia in traditional Chinese medicine? 1. Fennel porridge. 15 grams of fennel and 100 grams of japonica rice. First fry the fennel, remove the residue and take the juice, then add the glutinous rice and cook into porridge. Take twice a day, 3 to 5 days as a course of treatment. This recipe has the effects of promoting qi and relieving pain, strengthening the spleen and stimulating appetite. It is suitable for intestinal hernia, abdominal distension, testicular swelling and prolapse, hydrocele, and scrotal elasticity. 2. Lychee porridge. 30 grams of litchi kernels and 50 grams of polished rice. First fry the litchi kernels, extract the juice, add it into rice and cook into porridge, and eat it as you like. It has the effects of warming the middle, regulating qi and relieving pain, and can be used for symptoms such as cold hernia pain and cold pain in the lower abdomen. 3. Fennel and fig drink. 2 figs and 9 grams of fennel, decocted in water and taken twice a day. It can be used for hernia and has the effect of warming the middle and dispersing cold. 4. Paper-cooked sparrow. 3 raw sparrows, 9 grams of fennel, 3 grams of pepper, 6 grams each of Amomum villosum and cinnamon, and an appropriate amount of wine. Remove the feathers and internal organs of the raw sparrow, stuff the other herbs into its stomach, wrap it with wet paper, and simmer until cooked. Take with wine on an empty stomach. It can be used to treat testicular pain and coldness, hernia, and has the effects of warming the liver and kidneys and dispelling cold. 5. Orange seed and fennel powder. Appropriate amounts of orange seeds, fennel, and rice wine. Fry the orange seeds and fennel and grind them into fine powder. Mix them in equal parts. Take once a day, 4 to 5 grams each time, mixed with rice wine before bedtime. It has the effects of warming the liver and kidneys and dispelling cold, and can be used for small intestinal hernia and testicular swelling and pain. 6. Neem fat and two fragrant bladders. 1 pig bladder, equal parts of fennel, psoralea corylifolia, and Toosendan fruit, and appropriate amount of wine. Wash the pork bladder, fill it with fennel, psoralea corylifolia and Toosendan fruit, add appropriate amount of salt and cook. Eat meat; roast the medicine into powder, take 2 grams each time, with wine. It has the effects of nourishing the liver and kidneys and dispelling cold, and is used for hernia pain. 7. Fennel and milk fried. 9 grams each of fennel and fennel, a little fragrant milk, boil together with water. Take once a day, drink it and induce sweating. It has the function of warming yang and dispersing cold, and is suitable for treating pain caused by small intestinal hernia. |
