Internal hemorrhoids are a common type of hemorrhoids. People with hemorrhoids should go to the hospital for examination and treatment in time, because internal hemorrhoids have a great impact on us. So, how do you know if you have internal hemorrhoids? Method 1: Internal hemorrhoids can be further divided Generally there is no pain, but in the middle and late stages there may be swelling and itching in the anus. If hemorrhoids prolapse and become incarcerated, it can cause swelling, pain, erosion, necrosis, and even suppuration, and secondary anal fistula. (1) In the early stage (stage I), hemorrhoids are small and soft, with a bright red or purple surface. They do not fall out of the anus during defecation. Bleeding during or after defecation, in the form of drops or spurts, the blood is bright red, not mixed with feces, and occurs intermittently. (2) Middle stage (stage II): The hemorrhoids are larger and more bulging. During defecation, the hemorrhoids protrude from the anus but retract on their own after defecation. Bleeding after defecation is less than in the early stage. (3) In the late stage (stage III), the hemorrhoids are larger, harder, and slightly grayish white in color. They protrude from the anus during bowel movements, or even when walking, coughing, sneezing, or standing. They cannot be retracted on their own and must be pushed back by hand, or by lying flat or applying a hot compress. There is little or no bleeding in the stool. Method 2: Internal hemorrhoids generally have no systemic symptoms In the later stages, some patients may develop symptoms such as anemia, difficulty in defecation, and difficulty in emptying urine. However, its performance is different in different periods. Let’s take a look at the detailed introduction below: (1) The early symptoms of internal hemorrhoids are mainly bleeding during bowel movements. The amount of blood is large, sometimes dripping, and sometimes spurting like a spring. There is no pain or other discomfort. Over time it can cause anemia, dizziness, shortness of breath, and fatigue. When internal hemorrhoids reach the middle stage, hemorrhoids will protrude from the anus after defecation. Generally, the stool can return to the anus by itself after defecation. (2) When internal hemorrhoids develop to the late stage, the hemorrhoids will fall out after defecation and cannot return to the anus. They need to be returned manually or after rest. In severe cases, the anus may fall out during coughing, exertion, work or labor. The anus often feels wet and uncomfortable due to increased secretions, and the underwear may become contaminated. If the hemorrhoids become infected and inflamed due to friction from clothes, they will become swollen and painful and cannot be pushed back into the anus and may even become necrotic. This is called incarcerated hemorrhoids. |
