How to treat neuralgia? Self-massage is important

Neuralgia is a functional neurological headache, which mainly manifests as a compressive headache. As for how to treat neuralgia, in addition to drug treatment, daily treatment is equally important. Persistent head massage can relieve neuralgia, but you should also ensure adequate sleep.

1. Build confidence

You need to have confidence in treating the disease and eliminate mental anxiety and tension. If examination shows no organic disease, you don't have to worry too much and should relax, and the headache will naturally subside. Arrange your work and rest schedule properly, make sure you have time to relax every day, and get enough sleep every day.

2. Correct bad posture

Pay attention to preventing and correcting various bad postures to avoid continuous contraction of the head, neck, shoulder and back muscles, such as bending over a desk to write, read and work for a long time, or operating the computer screen too close.

3. Self-massage and hair combing

Use the middle fingers of both hands to press and rub your temples in circles to relieve headaches. Comb and massage the painful points: Place the ten fingertips of both hands on the most painful spot on the head, and comb and massage gently and quickly 100 times like combing your hair. Do this once in the morning, noon, and before dinner every day to achieve the purpose of pain relief.

4. Bathing

You can try using water to relieve your headache. Satisfactory results can be obtained through bathing, which should not exceed 20 minutes and the water temperature should not exceed 35 to 36°C. If your back and neck feel tight and stiff when you have a headache, rinse these areas with a gentle stream of water for 5-10 minutes.

5. Keep exercising

Exercise can regulate and improve the brain's excitation and inhibition processes, adjust brain functions, regulate the biological clock, and improve sleep. Persistent long-term exercise can enhance physical fitness, strengthen the regulatory function of the autonomic nervous system, and recover from functional diseases caused by autonomic nervous system dysfunction.

6. Daily treatment

Neuralgia is the most common symptom in clinical practice. Severe headache often makes people restless and miserable, but foot massage can relieve the pain within a few minutes. When people have a headache, they are accustomed to taking painkillers, but foot massage has no side effects and is effective.
