What are the traditional Chinese medicine methods for reducing fever?

Recently, the weather in many areas has started to warm up, so many people have taken off their thick clothes and put on lighter clothes. However, the temperature every morning and evening is still very low. Such a large temperature difference has caused many people to catch colds and fevers, making the body feel very uncomfortable. So the question is, what are the specific methods of reducing fever in traditional Chinese medicine?

First determine the child's condition.

The body temperature is not very high, the measured value is about 37.5-38.5 degrees. My child once reached 39 degrees.

If you don't touch your body, you may not know you have a fever. I don't sweat much all over my body, and of course if I sweated I wouldn't have a fever.

Physical cooling

Use a towel to wipe your child's forehead, chest, back, palms and soles of feet. Do this every once in a while to physically cool him down. Ordinary tap water is fine, as some children may be allergic to alcohol, and some may be too harsh.

Put the towel on his forehead when he goes to bed. Rinse it with water when it gets hot. Change it several times and wipe his body when he goes to sleep.

Drink more boiled water, let your child drink more slightly warm boiled water. If they are willing to drink ginger soup, they can drink some. The main purpose of fever is to dissipate the heat in the body and sweat.

You can give him some cooling tea, such as honeysuckle tea. If you haven’t been eating well recently, you can drink Jianer Qingjie Liquid.

Pinch the child's back, including the Dazhui position. If it is red or purple, it means there is heat in the body.

Take the child's hands and rub his palms, massage the Tianmen acupoint from bottom to top, and pinch the Hegu acupoint (commonly known as the tiger's mouth) more. Also rub the Quchi acupoint more often and the Yongquan acupoint on the sole of the foot several times

After doing all this, pay attention to whether the child's condition worsens. It still takes some time to reduce the fever, depending on the child's resistance. My child's fever usually subsides completely within two days and he recovers as before.
