How effective is Chinese medicine in promoting lactation?

Chinese medicine method to promote lactation

1. Boil 3g of loofah skin and tongcao in water and drink, or add pig's trotters to make soup. If the effect is not great, you can use 6g of Beiqi, 9g of angelica, 3g of white angelica, 6g of pangolin and 3g of loofah seeds to stew pig's trotters, drink the soup and eat the meat, the effect is very obvious.

2. Codonopsis pilosula, Astragalus membranaceus 30g, Angelica sinensis, Rhizoma Smilacis Glabrae 18g each, Bupleurum chinense, Citrus aurantium, Pangolin, Vaccinium myrtles 12g each, Cyperus rotundus 15g, Tongcao, Lophatherum gracile 10g each, mainly for postpartum lactation deficiency (lactation promotion) milk deficiency. Usage: one dose per day, decocted in water. Generally, 2-3 doses are taken for best results.

3. 2 pig's trotters, stir-fry 9g each of Chuanxiong, Angelica, Akebia, and Vaccaria. Wash the pig's trotters, add water and boil until soft, then remove them and add the above medicines to the soup, boil and remove the residue before taking.

Peanut Pig Trotter Soup

Ingredients: 200 grams of peanuts, 2 fresh pig's trotters, appropriate amounts of rice wine, onion, ginger and fine salt.

Preparation method: Clean the pig's trotters, scrape and wash them, split them with a knife, cut them into pieces and put them into the pot. Add enough water, put in peanuts and seasonings, and after the water boils, simmer over low heat for 2 hours until the pig's trotters are cooked.

Efficacy: Nourishes yin and blood, promotes lactation. It is mainly used for postpartum blood deficiency and insufficient milk.

Red Bean Carp Soup

Ingredients: 1 carp (weighing about 500 grams), 50 grams of red beans.

Preparation: Remove the scales, gills and internal organs of the carp, clean it, and cut it into three or four pieces; wash the red beans and soak them for 2 hours. Boil the soaked red beans in water until they are 70% cooked, add the carp pieces, and simmer until they are well cooked. Eat the meat and drink the soup without adding any seasoning.

Efficacy: Prenatal pregnancy and swelling reduction, postpartum lactation and milk secretion promotion. Mainly used for postpartum lactation syndrome.
