There are many treatments for motor nerve disease, but not all of them can achieve the desired results. The most common treatment method is drug control. Patients with lung infections can choose appropriate antibiotics for treatment. 1. Western medicine treatment: ① Riruta, 50 mg, taken orally once every 12 hours; ② Lamotrigine, start with 25 mg per day and gradually increase to 100 mg/d; clinically, the drug can improve symptoms and delay development, but cannot change the outcome; ③ Immunosuppressants, commonly used drugs cyclophosphamide 200 mg, intravenous drip, every other day or twice a week, a total of 3-4 g for a course of treatment, effective for some motor neuron diseases; ④ Nerve growth factor is also used, but the efficacy is uncertain. 2. Anyone with respiratory muscle paralysis should have tracheotomy and artificial respiration as soon as possible. For patients with lung infection, appropriate antibiotics should be used. Limb stiffness can be treated with physical therapy and oral administration of 5-10 mg of rioredopine 2-3 times a day to improve symptoms. When painful cramps occur, carbamazepine or phenytoin can be taken orally. 3. Massage the affected limb and perform passive movements. 4. For those with dysphagia, nasogastric feeding can be used to maintain nutrition and water intake. 5. For patients with respiratory muscle paralysis, breathing should be assisted by a ventilator. 6. Prevent and treat lung infections. 7. Treatment with Traditional Chinese Medicine: Motor neuron disease belongs to paralysis in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Paralysis is a disease characterized by the relaxation, weakness and uselessness of tendons and veins in limbs. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that the kidney is the foundation of one's innate constitution and is responsible for storing essence and producing bone marrow. In traditional Chinese medicine, impotence is most closely related to the kidneys. It is caused by congenital deficiency of essence and blood, which cannot nourish muscles, tendons and bones, and gradually leads to muscle weakness and atrophy. At the same time, the spleen and stomach are the foundation of acquired constitution, which generate qi and blood, nourish the internal organs, muscles, tendons and bones, and the spleen controls the muscles. If the spleen and stomach are weak, the qi and blood will be insufficient, and the muscles will not be nourished, resulting in muscle atrophy and weakness. Research and investigation have found that strictly implementing the above-mentioned care can effectively prolong the life of some patients with motor neuron disease who are undergoing treatment or have just completed treatment. |
