What should I do if there is a lump on my butthole? Do you know what these causes are?

When I was washing my butt at night, I suddenly found a lump on my anus. There were usually no symptoms, but occasionally there would be slight blood in the stool when I got a sore throat. Experts say that it is very likely that you have hemorrhoids, and you must go to a regular hospital for examination and diagnosis, and then receive symptomatic treatment.

1. Causes

1. A lump at the anus may be an internal hemorrhoid

If there is a swelling at the anus and blood in the stool, you need to consider the possibility of internal hemorrhoids. The general symptoms of internal hemorrhoids in the early stage are prolapse of the swelling, blood in the stool, and no pain, but the swelling can shrink back by itself. In the later stage, the swelling usually cannot shrink back by itself and needs to be pushed back by hand, and later it cannot be pushed back by hand.

2. A lump at the anus may be a perianal abscess

Perianal abscess can cause a lump to grow around the anus. The patient will first feel a small hard lump or mass around the anus, followed by increased pain, redness, swelling, heat, and discomfort. An abscess may form in about a week, and a soft, tender mass may be felt around the anus. Pus can be extracted by puncturing with a syringe.

3. Other perianal diseases can also cause lumps at the anus

In addition to hemorrhoids and perianal abscesses, anal sinusitis, polyps, and hypertrophy of anal papillae can all cause symptoms of a lump growing at the anus. Therefore, patients with symptoms of a lump growing at the anus need to seek medical attention promptly.

II. Treatment

Experts from the Anorectal Hospital pointed out that if a lump grows at the anus, hemorrhoids are relatively common. The main symptoms of hemorrhoids are painful bowel movements, fleshy swellings in the anus, bloody stools, and anal itching. Moreover, there is a bag growing at the anus. The protrusion of the anus may be a polyp, prolapse of anal papilloma, hemorrhoids, etc. Since there are many reasons for a lump to grow at the anus, the patient must go to a regular hospital for examination and diagnosis, and then receive symptomatic treatment. In the early stages, conservative treatment with medication can be used. However, over time, the condition becomes serious and may cause other diseases. The difficulty and cost of treatment are also high, and surgery is needed to cure it.
