Do you know the commonly used acupuncture points for curing diseases on the three yang meridians of the foot?

The Three Yang Meridians of the Foot include the Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian of Foot, the Yangming Stomach Meridian of Foot and the Taiyang Bladder Meridian of Foot. They are all distributed on the outside and back of the legs, are superficial, and run from the head through the trunk and the outside of the lower limbs to the feet, so they are called the Three Yang Meridians of the Foot. So what are the commonly used three yang acupoints of the foot?

1. Ring jump

Huantiao is an acupuncture point on the Gallbladder Meridian. When we lie on our side with our thighs flexed, the intersection of the outer 1/3 and the middle 1/3 of the line connecting the highest point of the greater trochanter of the femur and the sacral foramen is the Huantiao point. This point is often used to treat hemiplegia, sciatica and other symptoms. If your legs feel heavy when walking, you can also use the cupping method for Huantiao: lie on your side, apply scraping oil on the Huantiao acupoint area, suck a medium-sized air cup onto the surface (usually 1 to 2 times), press the skin surface with one hand, press down the cup with the other hand, push up and down several times, there will be obvious sha spots at the Huantiao acupoint, and then use a large cup on the spot for 15 to 20 minutes. Drink some water after opening the can. Do this every few days to allow the sha in that area to gradually disappear.

2. Zulinqi

Zulinqi is the transport point of the foot Shaoyang Gallbladder Meridian. "Zu" refers to the acupoint on the foot; "Lin" means looking down from a high position; "Qi" means tears. The name of this acupoint means that the dampness and wind in the gallbladder meridian turn into rain and cool down here. This point is often used to treat red and swollen eyes, pain in the ribs, menstrual disorders, scrofula, etc. Mr. He used this acupoint to treat galactorrhea, with significant results. Method: The patient lies in the supine position, and a 1-inch filiform needle is used to prick the bilateral Zulinqi points. The needles are retained for 30 minutes, twice a week.

3. Wind Sadness

Fengchi point is located on the back of the neck, below the occipital bone, at the same level as Fengfu, in the depression between the sternocleidomastoid muscle and the upper end of the trapezius muscle. Regularly massaging the Fengchi point has excellent therapeutic effects on many eye problems, such as optic atrophy, myopia, exophthalmos, dizziness, etc.

4. Tianshu

Shu refers to the hub. This point is next to the navel. The sky is above the navel and the earth is below the navel. The point has the function of connecting the three burners and being responsible for rising and falling, hence the name Tianshu. This point belongs to the Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming and is also a gathering point for the large intestine. It can raise and lower the Qi and regulate the intestines and stomach. Acne on the face is mostly caused by stomach fire, and massaging this point can relieve it. The method is: after getting up every morning, first use the tip of your thumb to massage Tianshu on both sides for 2 minutes to facilitate bowel movements; half an hour after a meal, massage Tianshu for another 2 minutes to reduce stomach fire. When massaging, use a little more force until you feel pain, and gently rotate the acupoints.

5. Strip

Tiaokou point belongs to the Stomach Meridian of Foot-Yangming. The Stomach Meridian has a lot of Qi and blood. If it can be calmed and regulated, it will nourish both inside and outside, and all five internal organs will be at peace. Mr. He believes that stimulating the Tiaokou point can invigorate the qi of the spleen and stomach, allowing it to penetrate the limbs, dispel wind, cold and dampness, promote the unblocking of stagnant meridians, nourish the tendons and bones, and unblock the joints. Moxibustion on this point is always effective in treating frozen shoulder. The method is: moxibustion with moxa cones 3 to 7 times, or moxibustion with moxa sticks for 5 to 15 minutes.
