Acupuncture treatment of lumbar disc herniation, the effect is visible

Nowadays, many young people have symptoms of lumbar disc herniation, which is also a very common lumbar disease. People who are often tired are prone to lumbar disc herniation. The best way to treat lumbar disc herniation is traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture, cupping and massage.

1. Body acupuncture: Commonly used acupoints: Shenshu, Baihuanshu, Huantiao, Chengfu, Yinmen, Weizhong, and Yanglingquan.

Method: Select 3 to 5 acupoints each time and use the drainage method. The acupoints selected are mainly commonly used acupoints. Depending on the pain, Jiaji points, Ashi points and acupoints along the meridians can be added.

2. Ear acupuncture: Commonly used points: sciatic, adrenal gland, buttocks, Shenmen, lumbar vertebrae, and sacral vertebrae.

Method: Use medium to strong stimulation and leave the needle in for 10 to 10 minutes. Acupuncture therapy is used on acupoints such as Shenshu, Huantiao, Weizhong, etc., once a day, and 10 times constitute a course of treatment.

Acupuncture treatment is guided by the basic theories of traditional Chinese medicine. It uses needles and moxibustion to perform acupuncture and moxibustion on the acupoints of the human body to achieve the purpose of curing diseases through the function of meridians. Acupuncture has the functions of harmonizing yin and yang, unblocking meridians, and strengthening the body to eliminate evil.

3. Other TCM treatments for lumbar disc herniation include

1. Pinch the Achilles tendon: The Achilles tendon is commonly known as the lazy tendon, located at the upper back of the heel. Lying on the bed, use the middle sections of the thumbs and index fingers of both hands to pinch the Achilles tendons on both sides with a little force. Pinch 20 to 30 times as much as you can tolerate.

2. Leg shaking:

When standing, hold the weight with the healthy leg, relax the affected side, press the palms on the back of the thigh and shake the muscles left and right for 1 to 2 minutes, then sit down, bend the knees slightly, press the palms on the back of the calf, and shake the muscles left and right for 1 to 2 minutes. The shaking should be continuous, smooth and natural.

3. Pulling:

Lie prone on the bed, hold the head of the bed with both hands, and have one or two family members hold the patient's ankles tightly and pull downwards. When the patient with lumbar disc herniation feels the pain relieved or disappears, maintain this pulling force until the pain is exhausted. Repeat the pulling force 5 to 10 times.

4. Acupoint pressing:

The first acupoint is at the midpoint of the line connecting the ischial tuberosity (the tip of the bone that can be felt in the center of the gluteal groove) and the greater trochanter of the femur (the bone protruding on the outside of the hip bone). The second acupoint is in the center of the back of the thigh. The third acupoint is in the center of the calf. The fourth is behind the medial malleolus. Kneel on the bed and press the acupoints with your middle finger or thumb. It is best to feel a sore, numb and swollen feeling. Press each acupoint for 1 minute.

5. Push the calf:

If the back of the calf is numb and painful, push the calf; if the outside of the calf is numb and painful, push the side of the calf close to the little toe. The method is to sit on a stool, use the base of your palm or the thenar to maintain pressure and push down from top to bottom. You can apply some "massage lotion" or use a layer of soft cloth, and push 20 to 30 times.
