How to treat myocardial ischemia caused by hypertension

How to treat myocardial ischemia caused by hypertension

Hypertension can easily cause myocardial ischemia, so the conditioning work must be done correctly, such as eating a light diet, paying attention to adequate water, controlling sugar and calorie intake, and appropriately increasing dietary fiber.

1. Eat a light diet

Patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy should have a light diet, especially in the summer when their appetite decreases. They should eat more fresh fruits and vegetables, black fungus, soy products, etc. They can also supplement with fish and lean meat in moderation, and try to eat less high-fat foods. Don't eat too salty food to avoid high blood pressure due to excessive salt intake.

2. Sufficient water

Patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy should drink more boiled water and replenish water in time. Do not wait until you are thirsty to drink. In summer, when people sweat a lot, you can also drink some light salt water in moderation. Drinking some boiled water 30 minutes before going to bed, when waking up in the middle of the night, and after getting up in the morning can reduce blood viscosity and is a good protection for the heart. When the weather is hot, you can use mung bean soup, lily soup, chrysanthemum tea, lotus seed soup, lotus leaf tea, etc. instead of boiled water, which can not only replenish water but also prevent heatstroke and reduce body temperature.

3. Control sugar intake

The body's heat energy mainly comes from carbohydrates, so consuming too much carbohydrates will lead to excessive calories in the body. These excess "sugars" can be converted into fat, inducing increased blood lipids and posing a threat to myocardial health.

4. Increase dietary fiber appropriately

Dietary fiber can prevent cholesterol from being absorbed by the human body and promote the excretion of bile acid from the feces, so it can effectively lower blood cholesterol. It is an essential food category for preventing and treating myocardial ischemia.

5. Ensure the supply of trace elements

Iodine can reduce the deposition of cholesterol on the blood vessel walls, slowing down or preventing the development of atherosclerosis. Therefore, eating iodine-rich seafood such as seaweed and kelp regularly can reduce the incidence of coronary heart disease. In addition, calcium, potassium, magnesium, copper, sodium, chromium, etc. in the diet are also related to the onset of myocardial ischemia, and relevant foods should be supplemented in appropriate amounts.
