Traditional Chinese medicine has a long history and can be said to be a tradition. In many cases, the regulating effect of Chinese medicine on the human body is far greater than that of Western medicine. Ma Huang Jia Shu Tang is a Chinese medicine decoction. Ma Huang Jia Shu Tang 2. Prescription: 3 liang of Ephedra (without the nodes) (9 grams), 2 liang of Cassia Twig (without the skin) (6 grams), 1 liang of Licorice (roasted) (3 grams), 70 almonds (without the skin and tips) (9 grams), 4 liang of Atractylodes (12 grams) 3. Usage: Add the above five ingredients to 9 liters of water, boil the ephedra first, reduce the volume by 2 liters, remove the foam, add other herbs, boil until 2.5 liters are left, remove the residue, take 80 grams of the warm water, cover and take until you sweat slightly. 4. Ma Huang Jia Shu Tang is mainly used to treat symptoms of cold and dampness on the surface. Cold and dampness trap the exterior, suppress the Wei Yang, and cause poor circulation of the meridians. Symptoms may include body pain and restlessness, as well as symptoms of wind-cold such as aversion to cold, fever, and no sweating. When wind-cold is on the surface, one should induce sweating. However, due to the presence of dampness, excessive sweating is not appropriate, as "profuse sweating only removes the wind but remains the dampness, so the condition will not improve." Only Ma Huang Jia Zhu Tang can remove both the cold and dampness, treating both the exterior and the interior. Ephedra and Atractylodes together can induce sweating but not excessive sweating; Atractylodes together with ephedra can cure cold and dampness both internally and externally. If dampness is severe, Atractylodes macrocephala can be replaced with Atractylodes lancea. In clinical practice, this prescription can be used for all body pains, edema, wheezing and coughing, etc., which are symptoms of cold and dampness blocking the surface and stagnation of lung qi. |
