What causes eczema?

Eczema is the most common skin disease in clinical practice, especially it is prone to occur in newborns, so it has received widespread attention. However, the onset of eczema has no age limit. Even adults can be affected by eczema, especially behind the ears, genitals, armpits and other parts. Because they are more prone to sweating, they are particularly susceptible to eczema, leading to the appearance of eczema symptoms.

When eczema occurs, the patient will feel very itchy. If the patient keeps scratching, it will easily cause damage to the skin surface. It can be seen how serious the harm is. In order to better treat eczema, people must first know what causes eczema.

Causes of eczema

1. Genetic factors. Some types of eczema are closely related to genetics.

2. Environmental factors. The environment includes group environment and individual environment. Human group environmental pathogenic factors refer to large-scale outdoor air, water, soil, radiation sources, large areas of allergenic pollen vegetation, large areas of airborne allergenic bacteria sources, etc. Individual microenvironment refers to the individual's living environment. Since people spend about 2/3 of their lives indoors, the individual microenvironment has a closer impact on eczema.

3. Infectious factors. Some eczemas are associated with infection by microorganisms. These microorganisms include Staphylococcus aureus, Malassezia, aerogenic fungi such as Alternaria, Cladosporium, Penicillium, Aspergillus fumigatus, Fusarium, Penicillium chrysogenum, Aspergillus niger and Rhizopus niger.

4. Dietary factors. There are many varieties of human food, which can generally be divided into plants, animals, and minerals. In modern food, some chemically synthesized foods such as saccharin, acetic acid, citric acid, flavors, synthetic dyes, etc. are often used. These foods can cause food allergies, leading to the occurrence of eczema.

5. Drug factors. Drug factors are the main cause of certain eczemas, especially eczematous drug eruptions.

6. Other factors. The occurrence of eczema can also be caused by neuropsychiatric factors such as depression, fatigue, anxiety, tension, emotional excitement, insomnia, and climatic and physical factors such as sunlight, ultraviolet rays, cold, humidity, dryness, and friction.

Now you know what causes eczema. Many friends think that eczema will only cause itching of the skin. In fact, if eczema is severe, it may even threaten the patient's life. It also has the possibility of inducing other diseases. Therefore, you must treat eczema in a timely manner.
