What to do if folliculitis appears on the face

Special attention should be paid to the treatment of facial folliculitis. Many people have scars on their faces without paying attention, and many people regret it. Therefore, understanding the treatment methods of facial folliculitis is beneficial to the treatment of the disease.

Folliculitis is caused by unclean infection. Folliculitis is common in hairy parts of adults, such as the head, neck, and limbs. Acne is common during puberty and is common on the face. Acne is caused by hormone secretion in the body.

1. Systemic therapy: When the skin lesions are extensive and there are obvious pus heads, broad-spectrum antibiotics should be given. If conditions permit, pus culture and green therapy sensitivity test can be performed, which will provide important guidance for selecting more effective green therapy drugs.

2. Immunotherapy: For patients with chronic recurrent attacks, furunculosis vaccine can be injected subcutaneously once a week. The initial dose is 0.5 ml, the second dose is 1 ml, the third dose is 1.5 ml, and each subsequent dose is 2 ml. Generally, there are no adverse reactions after injection. If you experience fever or other discomfort, do not increase the dose. If necessary, reduce the dose or stop using the product.

3. Local treatment: When skin lesions occur, avoid washing the affected area with water and avoid scratching. The hair in the affected area should be cut short. Green treatment products such as hair lotion can be applied locally to kill bacteria and relieve itching. Patients with exudation can apply wet compresses with rivanol solution 3 to 4 times a day for 20 minutes each time. After the inflammation is relieved, chloramphenicol emulsion, neomycin ointment and iodine tincture can be applied externally.

4. Keep clean and hygienic, and avoid scratching or rubbing. Patients with recurrent folliculitis should pay attention to whether they have diabetes, anemia or systemic diseases, and if so, they should be treated accordingly. Patients should avoid alcohol and spicy food. Depending on the severity of the disease, appropriate selection of sulfonamide green therapy drugs such as co-trimoxazole or sensitive antibiotics such as penicillin, gentamicin, cephalosporin and kanamycin should be used.
