However, it does not necessarily mean that conception will occur successfully. Having sexual intercourse every two days one week before ovulation can allow sperm to reach the fallopian tube and meet the egg earlier or on time. This method of sexual intercourse has a significantly higher pregnancy rate than sexual intercourse after ovulation.

How to keep warm during early pregnancy

1. Adjust the room temperature appropriately

Although pregnant women are afraid of cold in the early stages of pregnancy, their body temperature is higher than that of ordinary people. Therefore, if it is summer, pregnant women do not need extra warmth. Instead, they should pay attention to adjusting the room temperature. The air conditioner should not be set too cold, and you should not blow directly at the air conditioner or fan. If it is winter, it is recommended to turn on the heating and adjust the indoor temperature to a suitable room temperature so that the expectant mother feels comfortable.

2. Wear thermal underwear for pregnant women

Expectant mothers who are afraid of cold in the early stages of pregnancy can wear thermal underwear to keep warm regardless of summer or winter. As for the warmth level of the underwear, pregnant mothers can consult the shopping guide based on the specific weather conditions and then choose suitable products. If it is winter, pregnant mothers should wear a loose sweater and a windbreaker in addition to thermal underwear to fully protect against the cold.

3. Wear warm shoes

An obvious phenomenon of expectant mothers being afraid of cold in the early stages of pregnancy is that their hands and feet are prone to coldness. This is because in the early stages of pregnancy, most of the pregnant woman's blood is concentrated in the uterus, and the blood flow to the extremities is slightly insufficient. Therefore, in the early stages of pregnancy, pregnant women must keep their feet warm. The most direct way is to prepare a pair of warm cotton slippers that can wrap the heels, or you can wear warm slippers directly after putting on cotton socks. Eat more calcium-rich foods in moderation: Pregnant women usually suffer from calcium deficiency in the early stages of pregnancy, and fear of cold is related to lack of calcium in the diet, because calcium deficiency can affect the elasticity and excitability of the myocardium, blood vessels and muscles. In the early stages of pregnancy, expectant mothers can eat more calcium-rich foods such as milk, soy products, and dried shrimps. They can also eat foods rich in minerals such as carrots, sweet potatoes, lotus roots, onions, and potatoes in moderation.
