Why is there water in the belly button and it smells bad?

I don’t know if you have ever seen patients with omphalitis in your life. Patients with periumbilicalitis will have diseases around the navel, and water will flow out of the navel. This phenomenon is actually quite serious. Many reasons are caused by inflammation. So at this time, you can take some anti-inflammatory drugs yourself, or you can go to the hospital to see a doctor for treatment. So what is the matter with the smelly water flowing out of the navel?

When water starts to flow from your belly button, the most likely possibility is that your belly button is inflamed, which is medically called periumbilicalitis. If water flows out of the belly button and there is a bad smell, then it is definitely a sign of inflammation. However, even if there is no bad smell, as long as it is not water entering from the outside, it is also a sign of inflammation.

1. First use a clean cotton swab to absorb the water and other dirt that flows out;

2. If you have hydrogen peroxide, first use it to clean the belly button, then use a dry cotton swab to dry it;

3. Use a cotton swab dipped in 75% medical alcohol to disinfect the inside of the belly button. After disinfection, use a dry cotton swab to absorb the remaining alcohol.

Don't worry if your belly button is inflamed.

Recommendations:

1. Don’t let the water touch your belly button when taking a bath, because the water in the water heater is not absolutely clean.

2. Use alcohol to disinfect the area around your belly button 2-3 times a day. Before disinfection, use a cotton swab dipped in boiled water to clean the dirt around your belly button. (If there is no effect after a few days, see a doctor)

3. After the inflammation disappears, do not pick your belly button with your hands. If you need to clean it, gently scrub it with a cotton swab or cotton, and use soap when taking a bath.

The common cause of umbilical inflammation is tissue damage and infection caused by foreign objects and trauma. Symptoms include redness, swelling, pain, discharge of water or pus, and a foul odor. Treatment: Disinfect with iodine tincture, then wipe dry with a cotton swab, three times a day. Those with severe inflammation can take antibiotics orally, and be careful not to damage the skin when cleaning the navel when taking a bath. Dry the moisture from your navel after taking a bath.
