What is the treatment for rosacea?

The health of the nose is an issue that people are more concerned about, because the nose is located in a special position, in the center of the face, and plays an important role in shaping people's appearance. A strong nose bridge makes people look particularly energetic, and people with masculine and stylish nose tips are more popular with women. But not everyone's nose is perfect. It is a common phenomenon that many people have low nose bridges and ugly nose tips. Among them, rosacea is an extremely ugly nose shape, which cannot decorate people's image, but will lower the overall appearance. Let’s take a look at how to treat rosacea.

Rosacea, also known as rosacea, is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by erythema and telangiectasia that occurs primarily in the central part of the face. It is more common in middle-aged people aged 30 to 50, especially in women.

Since the cause is unknown, treatment is mostly symptomatic. Try to prevent factors that aggravate the disease, adjust the endocrine system, correct gastrointestinal dysfunction, ban smoking, coffee, spicy and irritating foods, avoid overeating, keep bowel movements regular, avoid using alkaline soaps, alcohol, detergents, dyes, astringents, etc. that irritate the skin, and avoid exposure to the sun and excessive cold or heat. Live a regular life and avoid mental stress.

The treatment methods for rosacea can refer to the following measures.

1. Systemic treatment:

Antibiotics such as metronidazole, tetracycline, and clarithromycin can be used. For those who do not respond to antibiotic treatment, small doses of isotretinoin can be taken orally. Estrogen treatment also has a certain effect on postmenopausal patients with severe rosacea.

2. Local treatment:

Clindamycin gel, benzoyl peroxide gel, fusidic acid cream, mupirocin ointment, etc. can be used. Metronidazole gel, tinidazole gel, low-concentration retinoic acid preparations, etc. can also be used. It has bactericidal and anti-inflammatory effects, promotes the regression of erythematous papules and pustules, and maintenance use of the medication can reduce recurrence.

3. Physical and surgical treatment:

Laser treatment is more effective for patients with telangiectasia. During the rhinoplasty stage, surgical excision can also be performed to achieve a cosmetic effect.
